Hi my name is Taylor Douglas. I suffer from depression, and i'm only  fourteen. I'm a freshman and an honor roll student. I play soccer and i'm an artist. But I have a dark side. I am depressed and I have cut. I'm in recovery right now. This didn't start till high school. So considering I've been through it all, I decided to give advice and facts to help other teenagers that are going through the same things.

  1. Everyone will change

*No matter what, everyone will change some for good and some for bad. You will also change but it's up to you which path you go down.

   2. You will lose friends

*It's a guarantee that you will lose friends. But you will also gain some. The people that leave you never were really there in the first place so let them go.

3.Don't let people pressure you into things that you don't want to do

*I let people pressure me into things I didn't want to do, it ruined my life. You should just walk away. Seriously just walk away. If they lay a hand on you, punch them right in the face then walk away. It works every time. Just make sure you tell an adult what they did to you.

     4. Girls are bitches and guys are ass holes

*All girls are perfect no matter what. All girls are beautiful and but sometimes it takes a good person to show it. Girls want attention, mostly the "popular" girls. They want drama and they don't know what to do without it. They make other people feel bad because them themselves feel bad and they want everyone to feel their pain. Don't let bitches put you down. Just put your head up and smile, they hate it. Laugh when they are mean. they are peasants. You are royalty compared to them. Guys are assholes. You will go through guys and think that one of them is different, one day you will meet a guy that is different and is the one for you. Don't worry about guys because they only cause you problems. Just keep guy friends.

5. Highschool is hard

*Even if you are extremely smart highschool will still be hard because of the people around you and there really isn't away to get away from it. So just try your best and people will respect you.

6. Don't self harm

* You will get addicted. Instead of self harming workout. Punch a pillow, punch a wall, just not a person. I did kick boxing and it helped me a lot. If you get thoughts of suicide. Go to someone, anyone, because there is always someone that cares about you and you might not even know it.

7. Don't do drugs

*You will get addicted. I've never done drugs but I know people who do and there life sucks and probably always will. It ruined there lives. Just don't do it, it will make you ugly. Everyone is pretty so don't ruin it.

8. Ignore the peasants

*Peasants: The lowest of low or the people who bring you down. Ignore the peasants, laugh at the peasants, your better than them so act like it.

9. Be yourself

*When you act like someone else you will end up in the wrong group. Be yourself and be in the group your supposed to be in. You will a lot happier if you are with people that actually care and are like you.

10.Don't make fun of others

*You don't want anyone else to feel how you feel no matter what. Be the good person, people will respect you more.

11. Don't trust anyone

* Nobody can keep a secret. It will be told to someone no matter what. Even if it's your best friend, they might tell their family and they might tell another family. If you trust them then take your chances but you never know if they will tell.

12. If you cut, don't brag about it or show it off

*If you cut don't show it off and brag about it. It just makes you look bad and stupid. It's annoying and it will back fire on you.

13. Everyone has a secret

*Be careful what you say because everyone is going through something.

14. Write down all of your thoughts and feelings

* I would sit there in school and write down everything that came to my mind or anything that was bugging me. I would destroy the piece of paper because I wrote so much.

15. Do your work

* Your future depends on it. It's something serious.

16. Have fun

*Try to make the best out of everything. Think of every mistake as a lesson.

17. Keep your family close

*They will always love you and be there for you. They won't leave you. If you have parents that do that then go to other family members.

18. Music helps

*Music helps you release your feelings and you will begin to feel better.

19. Find a really good friend

*Once you find a good friend your complete

20. You can't please everyone

*Never will you be able to please everyone so just stop trying. Stick with the people that accept who you are.

Well I hope you liked my advice and hopefully it helps you. I will have other work about depression so I hope you read those to. Remember, your beautiful;)
