"What exactly happened? Tell me the story,"

"My dad was enthusiastic because he had just gotten a new job-"

"What job?"

"He wouldn't tell us. 'Said it was top secret business."

I look down at my cold, shaking hands.

"Do you know where he worked? Like the location?"

"I think..." I try to picture the place in my mind.

"Let's go. Now. I'll drive."

I hopped in the police woman's car.

It's been over three months since I saw my dad.

I wonder why the police care so much now.

"Ok, young lady, tell me the way." She was speaking to me like she was my aunt or something.

So I did.

"Um... Turn left, and it should be-"

"Right there! Thanks for the help."

"Aren't we going to go in?"

"You are. There's no way I'm going in there. I can't risk losing my job. You need to confront them and somehow lead them to the car."

I'm not sure about this. Something doesn't feel right...

But I go in anyway.

The butterflies in my stomach piled up as I walked into a strange room, filled with men. "Hello, I um-" I stammered.

"And who are you?" Said an abnormally large man.

"I um-" I trailed off. "I'm here for my father."

"Your father? I'm sorry we don't know what you're talking about." Said another man with a suit and tie on. "Here, come and take a seat." He waved over to an empty chair.

I hesitated.

"Well don't be shy." "Come, we can find your father. For now, sit down."

I walked over still hesitant.

"I know you took him," I said. "I know what you did."

I don't know what I could get into.

A mysterious man nudged me. It was a note.

"Get out while you can, it isn't safe here. They know who you are."

I glanced over at him, but he was looking elsewhere. "I- need to go back home... " I lied.

"But what about your father?!" said a man as he broke into a sly grin.

I bit my lip.

An Icy hand grabs my arm. "I'm not so sure you'll be leaving anytime soon..." he said as other men grab hold of me.

"Help!" I try to yell, but I'm out of breath.

...

My head hits the hard, cold floor loudly.

I want to look around and see where exactly I am, but my legs are aching.

I just need to get some rest.

An icy hand grabs my arm and drags me away...

"Help!" I scream,

"Help..."

I wake up shaking, it must be the same nightmare.

I am going to die here.

I need to get out before I lose my mind. And the only way to get out is the window...I need something to break it.

"Asteria." someone whispers.

The sound of my name...
