"So be it. I shall be married to Margery Tyrell in a fortnight." Joffrey Baratheon's voice boomed through the hall.

After Cersei's relentless attempts to have Joffrey marry Margery opposed to Sansa Stark, she had finally succeeded. The hall then emerged into applause. Loras muttered a thank you and him and Margery went back to their seats next to Amarys and Olena.

"You are all dismissed!" Joffrey ordered as he stormed out of the hall. Cersei sat with a smug look on her face. Sansa Stark quickly walked out of her position on one of the balconies overseeing the hall.

Even with all of that going on Amarys couldn't seem to tear her eyes away from a certain Tommen Baratheon. The two had remained eye contact for what seemed like forever. Amarys felt her porcelain cheeks flush a light pink but she still could not look away.

Tommen stared at the Southern Rose with an unreadable expression. At first he thought the people were crazed to say that someone was matched with his mother's beauty, the very idea had seemed ever so preposterous.

But now, in that moment, he knew there was no comparison. The girl in front of him was undoubtedly the most beautiful girl in the Seven Kingdoms and beyond. Their eye contact only broke when Tommen was escorted out by Ser Meren.

"My Queen, or should I say Queen Mother?" Olena said as the Tyrells approached Cersei Lannister.

"Ah, Olena Tyrell, how pleased I am of our houses merging. And it is Queen Regent, they are not yet married, after all." She spat out.

Amarys found herself smirking at the tone of the Queen's voice. Cersei Lannister spoke as though every word on her tongue was poison and she had to rid herself of it almost immediately. Amarys admired the Queen deeply, she had always thought that Cersei was very impressive having being discretely running Westeros for a near two decades.

"Well then, Queen Regent, it is a pleasure to meet you." Margery curtsied, breaking the tension between the two ladies. Amarys curtsied alongside her sister but never spoke up, only looking directly into the Queen Regent's eyes. As soon as Amarys straightened Cersei grabbed her jaw with one hand, turning her face so she could get a better look at her.

"My, my, what a beauty, indeed." Cersei muttered still inspecting Amarys. "What is your name, little dove?" Cersei asked as she released Amarys' face from her grip.

"I am Amarys Emerelda of House Tyrell, your grace." She stated, once again meeting Cersei's Lannister green eyes.

"Ah, the infamous Amarys Tyrell. You are quite the Southern Rose, as you surely know." Cersei stated genuinely.

"Thank you." She curtsied ever so slightly. Olena and Margery just stood to Amarys's right, gazing at the scene unfolding in front of their eyes.

"Such a shame our King has to marry Margery instead." Cersei sniggered, sending a toxic look towards Amarys's sister before she left.

"Look out for her, she's a real back stabber." Olena said before taking the girls to their chambers.
———————————————————————————

Amarys had been stuck in her chamber for hours whilst Margery was getting a tour of the castle with by Joffrey. Loras was most likely training or with a 'companion', Amarys did find it odd though that he had shown up with marks all down his neck on several occasions yet she had never seen a woman leave his room.

Amarys had only ever seen squires and knights leave Loras's room but she never thought anything of it. Olena was most likely in the gardens with handmaidens teaching them how to embroider properly. And Amarys had been stuck in her chambers with nothing to do and nowhere to go in this strange Kingdom.
