"I didn't mean to kill her."
Aurora woke up with a start. She felt as if all the air had been sucked out of her lungs, her heart ached and her body was shaking. She manged to grab hold of her inhaler as she struggled to breath. She had dreamed of her again. Her mother.
Ever Since she was 7 all she had ever dreamed about was her deceased mother and her father never failed to remind her that she had killed her.
Natalie's mom died in a tragic way; When she 'slipped' and fell down the stairs. The last memory Natalie remembered of her, was her lifeless body lying at the bottom of the stairs whilst she screamed until she heard nothing but the ringing in her head, and the grief for the body of her mother that laid beside her, the loud echo of her father's voice telling her it was all her fault.
To this day Natalie had no recollection of supposedly 'killing' her mother but for the years following her death, her father was obstinate on reminding her every day.
Exactly on Natalie's 11th birthday, her aunt came to visit.
Natalia and her aunt had always been very close, she arrived early in the morning to celebrate her birthday (as she always did), Natalia was so excited to get to see her aunt again.
The last memory Natalia had of that day was of her drinking a glass of water, next thing she knew she woke up and was lying on her bed. Her head was ringing and her whole body felt sore.
Bleary-eyed, she went downstairs for breakfast, the house was empty, even the furniture had gone. Where had her dad run off to, without her? Were they moving to a new house?
In the corner of the empty living room Natalia saw what seemed to be a handwritten note. The note was from her father and it said: "You killed your aunt you witch. You are no longer my daughter, Die.".
'How thoughtful' she thought, she refused to believe it. She had killed her Aunt. The only person that seemed to truly care about her. There was no way .
So now there she was 11 year old Natalia now Orphan and Homeless. She did think of going to the Police station, but if she had really killed her Aunt there was no way they would let her live a normal life and she wasn't about to play Russian roulette with her future.
That's when she received a text from an unknow number, all the message said was: "I can help you". All this years later that's exactly what they had done this whole time, for 6 years whoever was on the other line had helped her. She didn't know what he looked like or why he was helping her, all she knew is that he was the only person looking out for her.
She knew he was a year older that her and that he lived in the prohibited wood, other than that his life was a mystery.
Since that day Natalia made sure to call him every morning to let him know she was all right, they would lose track of time and end up talking for hours and hours on end.
Natalia didn't go to school so she would get 'A' to tutor her from time to time. Even though they had known each other for nearly 6 years 'A' never explained to her why he was so eager on helping her and whenever she asked, he always avoided the question by making a sarcastic joke. Natalia had given up and assumed that he probably didn't want to talk about it and he would probably tell her when he was ready.
"I had that dream again..." Natalia told A,
"Damn, just when we they had stopped," he said in a defied tone.
"Do you think I really killed her?" She asked hesitantly.
"Natalia even if you didn't kill her, what would that chance?"
