Willow's point of view:
"Show starts in five!" Alec called, he was our ring master and kind of like a father to me after taking me in all those years ago.
We where pretty much a big band of misfits, non of us had know each other before fate had dumped us at Alec's door.
Everyone had there own unique talent.
I was extremely flexible and our tightrope walker as well as an expert contortionist.
Josh and Evan, twin boys, were only seven years old and where the clowns, always pulling pranks.
Ethan was our lion tamer, he was seventeen.
Alice was our Equestrian girl, she is twenty one and very, very irresponsible.
Jim was our fire eater, I didn't really know anything else about him, he kept to himself.
Hannah, my friend, was our makeup artist and costume designer. We where both twenty one also.
I stretched as I watched the twins put frogs in Jim's tent, making a mental note to warn him later.
"Boys," I called, disappointment evident in my tone. "go get ready for the show, Anna's been looking for you."
"Awww." They whined but left anyway, gratefully in the direction of the main tent.
I rolled my eyes but smiled as I walked around on my hands.
"Ready to tame some lions Ethan?" Alice flirted, strolling over in her new uniform, purple and gold to match her purple horse shifter eyes.
Jim walked in then wearing an orange and red suit. He raised an eyebrow at my upside down self but said nothing.
He was still new, I always walked around on my hands.
Jim was a fire mage and that was really all I knew, I made another mental note to dig into his past a little.
"Oh Jim, beware of some frogs in your tent." I told him, a grin on my face as he groaned.
He wasn't a chatter like Alice who was currently chatting of poor Ethan's ear.
He looked over to me, his eyes pleading as he mouthed the word 'help' over her shoulder.
I grinned and hopped back onto my feet, brushing my hands off on my pants much to Anna's horror as she had just walked in.
Tapping Alice on the shoulder, I reminded her cheerfully, " Hey Alice, show starts in two minutes and Lilac isn't ready to go yet."
"Riiiightttt, that's what I was going to do but I got distracted, thanks Wil." She replied, patting me on the shoulder as she moved past me.
Suddenly arms where around me, making me scream as buried memories flooded up unwanted. People touching me, groping me, hitting me, pinning me.
All sounds around me where drowned out by the pounding in my head. I was briefly aware that I was dropped but I couldn't move, couldn't stop shaking. I screamed again as someone touched my arm softly.
"Willow. It's okay, concentrate on the sound of my voice" Alec's voice said calmly.
"Will, I'm so sorry I-" Ethan started but Hannah cut him off.
"Shut up Ethan, you're not helping so why don't you just go away already?" She snapped.
Yes, you go girl! I cheered in my head.
Quickly I pulled myself out of the attack and thanked Alec.
"Anytime, do you still want to preform?"He asked. I sent him a look that said 'are you kidding?' and he rolled his eyes.
"Not surprised, I still wish you would agree to be suspended, just in case you fall." He replied
I opened my mouth to give him my speech but he held up his hand. "I know, I know, you don't need to tell me again."
I grinned sheepishly and stood up, again brushing off my hands on my pants making Hannah scowl.
I grinned at her and walked onstage, my head held high.
