chapter 10

Chapter ten

"Okay cals do you want cereal or pancakes for breakfast" alex asks as he was ordering for me

"Umm can i have cereal?" i ask and he nods and gets me cereal as i'm normally not very hungry in the mornings

"Okay let's go sit with daniel brooke sohpie and parker" alex says and i nod so we walk over and once we sit down brooke scoffs

"Hey cals hows the arm" sophie asks

"Well it's getting better" i guess she's acting like last night didn't happen maybe they will corner me and ask what happened later i jump a little as a hand touches mine

"What ya thinking about cals" alex asks as he holds my hand

"That i so badly wanna go shoot some baskets maybe even dunk prove to boys that i can play sports ya know the usual" i say and the table laughs expect for alex and brooke alex chuckles and brooke scoffs

"Ya know showing off isn't nice" brooke says

"I wasn't showing off i was just saying-" i say before i am hit with a smoothie being dumped on my head

"What is wrong with you" i shout at primrose

"You stole my boyfriend" primrose says

"I did nothing" i shout sophie is trying to calm us down alex and trying to get me to calm down and daniel is talking with brooke asking what this is all about

"Guys guys" alex shouts at us we were the only ones in the cafe and have been for a little i think the ravens are out and it's about 6 am so the eagles basketball players are either practicing in the gym god i want to or taking a shower and the cheerleaders are doing the same

"Primrose why did you do that" alex asks

"Well cant you see shes just a dumb stupid ugly gross girl if you can even call her that" primrose says before brooke interrupts her

"Yeah i don't know why she was let into this school honestly i mean she's just a charity case" brooke says

"Brooke" daniel says

"I heard she was in the foster care in a group home because she killed her family" primrose says

"You wanna know why i'm in foster care and a group home my parents and younger sister died in a car crash when a drunk driver came and hit the passenger side i was the only survivor and it was my birthday out car had flipped i was 5 my younger sister would have been 14 today okay" i yell at them and walk away as tears are forming in my eyes no no i can't cry i cant cry cant cry not today

So i walked back into my dorm and take a shower but everytime i close my eyes i see her her happy face so excited to have come on my birthday party and then i see her crying because of her head hitting the car window and then the ambulance and everything else i finally open my eyes and tears are rolling down my face i'm sobbing i finally finish my shower and just throw on a hoodie and some sweatpants before i can even face plant onto my bed to cry myself to sleep i hear a knock at the door

"Cals is alex can you let me in please" he says and i sigh i have too options push him away or let him in i chose to push him away

"Go away alex i dont wanna talk" i say and then i hear him sigh and something hard hit the back of my door

"I'm not leaving until i see you and know you are okay" alex says and i realize he must be sitting outside my door

"I'm okay alex" i say and send him a old photo of me

"See there's me too" i say so hopefully he can leave

"This is a old photo cals your right hand is broken" alex says and i groan

"Fine then have fun waiting out there" i say before its silent

"Alex?" i ask no reply did he actually give up on me i knew it every time i care or love someone they always leave well expect for the group home there always there for me i start crying again and just lay down crying before i hear something jam into my lock i try to calm down to just sniffles but it doesn't work and before i know it alex is in my room he closed the door and locked it

"Had to ask sophie for a bobby pin" alex says before he walks over to me kicks off his shoes and then scouts me over and lays down next to me

"I will be here for you forever cals because i-your amazing" alex says i turn over to him and just straight up sob into his chest with is covered by his shirt

"Hey hey shh shh it's okay cals its alright" alex says as he pulls me close and tries to calm me down

"Hey cals you need to calm down for me alright" alex says and i nod my head and try to calm down but it doesn't work

"Hey hey deep breathes deep breathes there we go in through your nose out through you mouth" alex says and i realize i must have been hyperventilating and once i finally calm down to just sniffles i pull away from alex

"I'm sorry" i say noticing i ruined his shirt because of my tears its wet

"Hey hey it's okay see" alex says as he takes hi shirt off and replaces it with a hoodie he left here last time he came over

"I guess im tired right now alex" i say and yawn he chuckles

"I know cals i know get some rest i'll be right here" alex says as he slips into my bed and i snuggle into him

"Night cals" alex says

"Night alex" i say and then just before im asleep i hear

"I love you with my heart cals your the sweetest person and i love how protective you are of your friends goodnight cals i hope you sleep tight" alex says and that's the last thing i hear before i fade into dreamland witch used to be darkness played with nightmares but now its peaceful and happy dreams and memories wow life is really looking up for me i guess huh i mean it's been pretty much about 2 month since i've been here and i can tell i'm going to stay already i mean alex and daniel and parker and sophie there the best and then we have leo and max they seem chill im going to have to meet more of the ravens soon they seem cool i mean sure brooke and primrose hate me but nothings going to change that there will always be downsides to everything.
