quick a/n: just imagine you are your favorite animal :) whether that be a carnivore, herbivore, or other! <3

you always liked the chilly but somehow warm breeze autumn threw your way so you were happy that it was finally that time of year. you were a second year attending Cherryton Academy and although knowing most of the school by now, you sometimes felt lonely or even confused. luckily, you were good friends with both carnivores and herbivores. not like it was hard, just be nice.. right? right.

'class couldn't go by any faster..' you thought. usually, you didn't have a problem with any class but today you just weren't feeling well. you honestly just wanted to stay home and take a nap or maybe watch a movie. whatever it was, as long as it was school you wouldn't complain. you let out a relieved breath as you were finally excused for lunch.

quietly packing away your things and bringing out your favorite lunch to eat, you quickly made your way to your favorite spot. it was a really simple spot, just under a big tree ... away from the crowd. you didn't mind them honestly, just felt like chilling alone today. you didn't have enough energy for a conversation.

after some time and a delicious lunch, you made your way back to campus and waved at some of the students that you knew. they all smiled brightly and waved back happily. you smiled at that and continued on feeling a little bit more energetic after the small but friendly encounter.

you suddenly heard some hurried footsteps and looked behind you to see legosi trying to catch up to you and looking worried. "h-hey! (your name), i just wanted to ask if you were okay? n-not to say that you don't look okay! you look great! i- wait!- i didn't-"
you smiled slightly at his nervous behavior and shook your head ...

"it's alright legosi, i just didn't really have the energy to talk to anyone today so that's why you didn't see me hanging out with you guys" you explained. the male sighed and smiled awkwardly- "oh, okay! i totally understand! hope you still had a good uh, a good lunch (your name)!" you nodded and smiled at him again before walking away.

"wait! uh, (your name)! i wanted to uhm, a-ask you something!" legosi squeaked out. you turned around and stared at him "yes?" you asked. he looked everywhere but your face and played with his fingers. "i wanted to ask if you were free after school? i uhm, i really like you and-" you giggled at his nervousness, you didn't blame him, confessing to your crush was never easy.

"sure, legosi" "wait really!?" his tail wagged happily and you nodded. "i really like you too and would love to go on a date with you". his tail wagged faster at your confession and both turned slightly pink due to the slight awkwardness. after some silence, legosi spoke. "great! uh, meet you after school? wait- obviously we'd meet after class, that's so stupid-"
you patted his cheek gently to make him stop his mumbling and said goodbye, already feeling nervous.

you really wanted legosi to like you (or in this case, continue to like you) so you were afraid of messing up the date somehow. you shook off the negative thought and continued to your destination. meanwhile, legosi couldn't help but stand still for a few moments really trying to process everything that happened ... almost making him late to his class.

finally meeting with legosi you offered to go to your dorm to just watch a movie and possibly order a pizza if he was in the mood for food. he blushed but agreed following you to your dorm. on the way there, you and him nervously talked about school and other topics that randomly came up, both of you not really wanting to stop talking.

"aaand we're here!" you opened your dorm and walked in keeping the door open for legosi. you silently thanked your roommate for always being out with her friends and closed to the door once legosi walked inside. "you have any movie suggestions?" you politely asked. if you were going to watch a movie, might as well let him pick so it would be a movie he liked.

he thought for a moment and suddenly perked up a bit "do you have Phantom of The Opera?" you smiled and tried your hardest to laugh. of course, a theater kid such as himself would pick something like that. no complaints here though, it's a beautiful movie.

"yes, i do. it's one of my favorite movies. it's a very beautiful story" you reply, thinking of legosi dressed as the phantom. it was cute. he was cute. the tall wolf nodded and sat on the carpet looking around your room while you looked for the dvd. "your room is really cool (your name), i-i like it." smiling, you said thank you and asked if he wanted anything to drink or eat. he replied with a no so you just sat next to him as the movie started playing.

halfway through the movie and being more comfortable with each other, his arms where around you as he rested his head on yours. "legosi?" he hummed and you looked up at him. "i wanted to thank you for this, i've liked you for awhile but our friendship was so nice that i didn't want to ruin it."

he huffed and looked down at you, licking your nose shyly. "i had the same fear as well but i realized that if i didn't confess soon, someone else had the chance to take you away from me." you blushed at his comment and smiled. "well, i'm glad you confessed. you were always the one i wanted." legosi's tail wagged happily and you both finally shared a sweet kiss. he whimpered happily, his tail making a loud thumping sound and you broke the kiss by giggling at his excitement.

"i really like you legosi.."
"i really like you too (your name)..".

it was too early to say "i love you" but you both felt nothing but love and happiness in each other's company. you were each other's comfort and it would forever stay that way.
