My Jacket is thrown on the bed, and my shoes are kicked underneath my bed, it's a been long day and I don't know if I'm going to last tomorrow or the end of the week

Tomorrow is my wife's funeral and I'm still shocked and puzzled by this, all I can remember is that unimportant argument we had a few nights before and now this, she's gone and I have nothing left

I took a seat on my silk king sized bed my hand in my hair and the air of sadness and stress coming from my nostrils, I've been up on my feet for a couple hours sorting out papers, appointments, etc nothing special it's business so I expect everything to be perfect and in order

the door is suddenly pushed wide opened

"You have the audacity to expose me like that?", I snapped at the person standing at the door, legs shaking and sweat streaming down his/her face

"I'm sorry for disturbing you sir, but the paramedics would like to have a word with you", adjusting his or her glasses and trying not to make eye contact

"Tell them I'll be there in a few minutes", He/she nods and quickly closes the door shut, I'm not much of a teriffying person but if anyone were to step out of line they would be fired immediately that's just how I roll

Impacted by my laziness I get up from my comfortable bed and silently walked over to my bedroom door, seeing that I don't want to go wherever these paramedics need me I hesitantly opened the door and make my way downstairs

Taking one step at a time down my polished marbled stairs, I stare down two or more people chatting with their mouths open but I couldn't make out what they were saying as I stepped a few counters down the audio from their mouths filled my ears

"Ahem!" I snorted causing them to look at me with unfixed emotions

"Ahah! Sir Johnathan I have some news I want to inform you about a slight information we've discovered about your wife's passing", Paused and somewhat unsure of what he was about to say I raised an eyebrow

"And what sort of information is that?" My confusion startled them as if I was missing something

"I was assuming they had told you the day your wife has passed sir", he continued

"Whatever it is, spit it out I have unfinished business to attend to", my arms folded and eyes narrowed at them indicating that I want an answer now

"Your wife gave birth sir," adjusting his coat he cleared his throat as my eyes filled with shock and horror he continued to speak

"Before she died she was pregnant, she didn't tell you because she knew you wouldn't believe and that you would claim the baby isn't your-" I raise my hand and cut him off

"Where is this child now?" I loosen my arms as I calmly asked him the question

"She is in the other room sir-" I cut him off again and walk away

How could she have kept this secret from me? Her own Husband? Did she not want me to be apart of this child's life?

Agitated as I walked into the other room, doctors and nurses were crowed inside the room, pushing past every single one I came upon a child sitting on the bed

"sir Johnathan we're not quite finished with-" I raise my hand indicating that they should both me and the child inside the room alone, they nodded and instantly left leaving me and the child alone in the room only the sound of the fan and the noises from outside were the only sounds you could hear as of now

"What's your name child," concerned she looks up at me with pale blue eyes and dried chopped lips as if she hasn't eaten in days

"B-brielle sir.." her voiced cracked through the sound of her name, Brielle I've always wanted a daughter named Brielle
