Brian Will Never Leave

Roger comes home with the kids in tow and the kids deal with the hockey puck casserole and Roger tends to Freddie who’s been sick on and off. This was the last straw and Roger took him to the ER leaving Emil in charge of his young step-siblings.

Freddie groans and rubs his stomach. He hasn't felt this way since he was pregnant  with Emil and that was nearly seventeen-years-ago. And Freddie was confirmed to be pregnant again at twenty-nine.

So he has a sixteen-year-old son, a ten-year-old step son, and a ten-year-old daughter all at the age of twenty-nine. He’s very happy to mother another child and Roger is happy to be a father again.

They go home and Freddie announces the great new. The kids are happy and they order pizza in a celebration, 

“I hope it’s a girl.” Cassie says shoving a hunk of pizza into her mouth, “I hate being the only girl.”

“Girls stink!” Declan shouts.

“You stink!” Cassie retorts.

“Children.” Roger says sternly, “Behave.”

Emil had his nose in a book shoving pizza into his mouth, “Aren’t you glad I’m nearly grown?”

Freddie pinches his cheek, “No. You’re always my baby.” he peppers his cheeks with kisses, “My sweet baby.”

Emil whines and swats him off flipping a page through his book, "How's you and Beverly doing?" Roger asks, trying to change the subject.

"I got a date with her for next Saturday." Emil grins.

"Don't forget to bring condoms." Freddie teases, 

Emil groans out in embarrassment, "Mom!!!" he puts his head down and the whole family shares a laugh.

Brian smokes a cigarette and walks out the prison gate. He's abandoned John and walked out dressed as one of the night guards. He walks to the bus station and chuckles quietly to himself. He enters the bus rubbing his eyes and acting tired as the sun is coming up.

"Long day at work?" the bus driver quipped.

Brian nods, "Prisoners are brutes." 

The bus driver nods and starts the bus its only Brian and a little old lady dressed in her church clothes.

Brian pulls out the photo Emil dropped after their scuffle. It was Emil and Beverly and on the back written in hot pink was her new address. 

Brian gets off at the stop and walks down the street to Beverly's home. He climbs in through the window he was in the teen girl's room.

He strangled her till she went still. He exits out the way he came in and remains hidden waiting for any signs of life before walking down to Roger's home. It still says Taylor on the mailbox with "Bulsara" slapped on next to it.

Brian presses his face into the window and sees the Taylor-Bulsara family enjoying an early breakfast. The tv is on some old cartoon from Brian's youth.

He waits in the garage as the parents leave the home. It was only Emil and his siblings Brian's children left afterward.

Brian grabs a tire iron and waits for the first one to come out which was Emil but he had his bicycle helmet on which cushioned the blow and he fought Brian back hard. He was a trained boxer like his mother was and he wasn't going down without a fight. Now that Brian was entering his worn down stage in life he wasn't as sprung as he used to be.

Emil had him in a choke hold screaming for his siblings to call 999. Brian didn't want to go back to prison he refused. He bit down on Emil's dark flesh on his arm and held his bite.

Emil yelps and let's go of him. Brian pins him down grinning wickedly, "You look so much like your mama when you're terrified." Brian growls his hands lower, ''Wonder if you sound like him while moaning."

Emil growls and kicks him hard in the groin he pins him down and keeps him still until police arrive. Brian's once again arrested and now put in a highly strict prison that's impossible to escape.

Beverly is alright but she breaks things off with Emil for her own safety more like her mother and father force her to. Emil is heartbroken and torn up about it but he knows it's for the better, he too would break up with his partner if their mother's broke into their home and tried to choke him out. Emil still doesn't understand how Brian found Beverly he really doesn't want to know. But they get back together in secret not letting anyone know of them.

If he ever found out how Brian found Beverly he was going to bash Brian's jaw in until it was nothing but pulp and teeth. You don't go hurting people who aren't involved with the mess. He couldn't understand why Brian would do something like that. Emil has a strong guess that it was payback for punching him in the jaw. Like Brian was all like, ''I'm going to kill your now ex-girlfriend and be all petty now. Ha hah." and Emil was meant to be okay with that. Brian's just lucky Emil didn't find out until Brian was in police custody. Or Brian would haven't got up from their fight. Emil would have made sure of that.

The seasons change and go. Emil grows into a fine young man. Freddie is crying taking loads of pictures of his baby boy tall and proud in his cap and gown.

Emil is top of his class. Valedictorian, top of his class. He had the whole world in his hands. Any college he wanted he could go to, he had a full scholarship.

For now though he begins to pack up his belongings and forget about his and his mother's troubled past. Emil almost has everything in the U-Haul when a young man approaches him, he's a few years younger than his mother.

"Yes, sir?" 

The man with a perm that leads into a fro of hair hands him a letter with a wax seal, "Mr. May wanted you to have this." 

Emil takes it. His grey eyes look over the man in confusion. Whoever he may be has nice tattoos but dresses like a grandpa despite his youthful appearance.

The tips his hat and walks off into the horizon like how he arrived. Emil shakes his head and opens the letter with some difficulty, 

"Who the fuck uses a wax seal?" Emil grumbles, tearing it open with his large multi-tool, "Its fucking 2033."

Emil leaves the envelope into the trash and begins to read it from the safety of his U-Haul.
