I stabilised my breathing, trying to seem like a motionless doll. Maybe he'd lose interest in me. He leaned in...but then pulled away. Touching my face with his rough hand that was always wrapped around his trusty bat, but this time around me. He seemed to be losing interest.

I wasn't losing interest at all. Tomorrow, if everything goes right.. they'll like me. They'll have to. They are completely rejecting me, but that just pulls me in. I gently put my head down on the other's bruised up shoulder and fell asleep, feeling peaceful for the first time in a while.

He..stopped. it's a relief, really. But it's also been so long since i've felt human warmth, so his head on my shoulder, his gentle breathing tingling my neck... i couldn't help but to feel at ease. I always found comfort in other's warmth. It made me feel less alone, even though i knew well enough i am and will always be, alone.
