Chapter 1

Maddie POV

Hey guys! my name is Maddie  and I'm from the Apollo cabin. I'm 13 years old and very close to my older sister Kayla, as she's always there for me. (A/N so are her other siblings but they have a special bond)I'm normal height with black hair and green eyes. I'm gonna tell you how I ended up in Solomon Middle school. 

Today started off pretty good until Chiron made an announcement, during breakfast. "Demigods, the gods have asked me to inform you that some of you will be attending high school and live like normal kids. Kids above 12- 15 years old will be attending different schools and help recruit demigods. I will be choosing a few each week. Anyone who wants to go please see me after breakfast before your first activity. Thank you." Everyone started talking at once, it was complete pandemonium. Chiron tried to get the campers' attention by stomping his hooves, but it was no use.

 My siblings were also talking who would be going from their cabin, as we only have a few campers  in the age limit. I wasnt really paying attention, staring at Josh, from the Athena cabin.(A/N if you have name suggestions please tell me) I snapped back into attention when I realized Austin was waving his hand in front of my face. I blushed a deep red. Austin smirked knowingly, but continued. 

"So Mads, as your within the age limit are you gonna go?" he asked. I thought for a moment.

 "Yeah i could use a break, plus I'd like to get out of camp for a while. I'm dying to get a Starbucks drink again." I replied. Austin nodded and turned back to Will. After telling Will about it, I went to meet Chiron. 

We talked about the details, and he said that he has arranged a small house near the camp and school for us to stay in. Everything was settled. And the first group of demigods only leave for a week, so I won't miss camp for a long time. I was to leave the day after tomorrow.

At breakfast today Chiron is going to announce who will be going to school. One of my siblings has also signed up, along with my best friends, Ava, Tessa, Sophie and Ivy.

"Demigods! please listen. 10 people have signed up, and will be divided into different schools..."  I groaned inwardly. I forgot kids would be divided. What if I go to a school without my friends? Dang it, i should have thought this through. No going back now. At least I can go to Camp every weekend. I turned my attention to Chiron who had started to read the names.

"Ava, from the Hermes cabin; Tessa from the Hecate cabin; Maddie and Cara from the Apollo cabin; ; Ivy and Tim from the Demeter cabin; Josh and Mark from the Athena cabin; Lacy and Sophie from the Aphrodite cabin. They will be staying in a house provided by the gods, and help the satyrs recruit demigods. You will be staying for a week, under the excuse of an exchange program. Pack your bags on time, Argus will be leaving tomorrow. Thank you." With that Chiron stepped off the podium to join Mr. D, who was looking bored. Then again, he doesnt really care what happens to us, one way or another.

I turned back to my siblings conversation, and chatted with them about me and Cara leaving for school. Will said he expects us to behave properly in a playful manner. I roll my eyes and Cara snorts. After breakfast I head down to the Arts and crafts room.

I didnt know what to pack and neither did Cara, so we got help from our siblings. In the end we both had 2 duffel bags filled with enough clothes for a few days. After packing I needed some air so I thought of going for a walk.

I was walking along the beach, when I bumped into someone. "I'm really sorry! I didn't look where I was going. Are you alright?" I asked. The person looked up and I saw it was Josh. I turned pink but I'm pretty sure he didn't notice. (A/N im sorry i suck at writing romantic scenes) "Oh, no worries, Maddie. I wasnt looking where i was going too." He said rubbing his arm. I continued along, with him following me.

"So what are you doing here? Are you done packing?" He asked me after a while. "I've finished packing, I just needed some fresh air. " I said  afraid to look him in the eye that I'd start blushing again. He nodded, rubbing his temples tiredly.  "Yeah so was I. It's been a bit stressful. I've been trying to read up the textbooks, and I still havent finished History!! Annabeth sent me out of the cabin for some fresh air, because she thought I would fall sick or something. Can you believe her? I mean I just read a few books in preparation for school and she kicked me out! " He said indignantly. I chuckled, which eased my tenseness. We walked in peaceful silence, until I noticed the sun was setting. "Oh man, we need to go! It's almost dinnertime!!" I told Josh frantically. He noticed the setting sun and nodded.  We both rushed and went into dinner with our cabins.

"Hey, Mads, where did you go suddenly after packing?" Kayla asks, bringing me from my pleasant daydream. "Oh...I-um went for a walk." I said uneasily, not wanting to tell about bumping into Josh. She raised her eyebrows. "Ok. You ready for tomorrow?" she asks me. I nod. "But Kayla, all of us have ADHD and dyslexia. How are we gonna do the work?" I asked. She shrugged. "Just do your best. It's only for a cover. " yeah easy for her to say. I sighed inwardly, and finished my dinner. My siblings and I headed towards our cabin, laughing and chatting.  After settling in for the night, I drifted off into what I hoped would be pleasant dreams...

A/N so this was the 1st chapter in Maddie's story. So im not sure yet which direction the story would be going, but im hoping to write about  Maddie. I think the demigods going to school meets the mortals and they try to hit on them. But everyone has bfs or gfs so they dont. If you have any ideas on how the story should go, please DM me!!
