"Crunch."

The desiccated dry leaves crunched under the pressure of his boot.
The mist meandered through the oak trees creating an eerie atmosphere.
The trees towered high in the sky, tearing through the clouds above.
The moonlight sliced through the gaps on the canopies, creeping down to the bottom of the forest.
This was a place forbidden to be roamed. This was a place where people went missing in the hours of day. It was a place were strange creatures only heard in myths were sighted. This forest lay deep in the heart of the Africa. It was a very remote place were civilisation had not yet set foot onto this Terrain.

Cursed.it was said to be.

Yet he tread fearlessly, taking every step with caution.
He feared nothing...

Nothing but God.

He was suited in military clothing. He wore black Kharkiv pants with metallic black pads on his knees. On his upper body he has a bullet proof jacket with Matt black shoulder pads that camouflaged well with the night sky. Below this lay a belt which was depleted with technology know only to the special forces who created them. They are an undercover force who were know to nobody, yet they helped everyday. They call themselves "The Ghosts". They are a well advanced special ops team who were against the corrupt government and people in power. They formed not many years ago after the "New World Order" was established. You could call them the vigilantes of the world.he was one of them, sent on a special operation to find something that was hidden deep in the heart of the forest.

He was an American, tall with a tanned white complexion and a broad face. His crystal blue eye stood out in this ominous place. He had a strong sturdy body with huge muscular arms. His brown thick hair brushed back in the wind. He was in his twenties. His name was Alex. Alex rider.

Alex wore all of those things but the one thing that he always wore was,
his protector.His saviour.His only...

A Barrett-RE C7; black in colour, lay in his palms. It swayed side to side, ushering the sinister mist out of its path.
This was a weapon that if needed be could end a life.instantaneously.
This weapon had brought indescribable amount of pain to those who deserved it.
This weapon was said to bring safety to him,and safety did it bring.
This weapon has cause graves to be engraved.
This weapon has caused children to be orphans.
This weapon has caused mass destruction.

PART TWO-"Freeze!"
He had trekked through the forest for hours now, yet he didn't detect any signs of life other than the rotting and withered plants with their shadows morphing into demonic figures.
As he trekked deep into the forest things got worse with every step he took. suddenly a distant light emerged, faint enough to see yet not enough to make out to what it could be.
Rider gripped the handle of the gun tightly.
Sweat started to drop from his forehead, each drop pounded into the ground.
He approached it with caution. The light grew larger and larger.
As he approached it, it seemed to be what looked like a corroded metal container.
Barren. Isolated. It lay alone.
Is this what he had been looking?
Could it be in there somewhere?
Had he found what he was looking for?
There were no time for questions and no time to loose.

He stepped closer.

Every second taking hours to pass.
He peered around nervously. The water surrounding him was still. Too still.
The silence of his surrounding, echoed through the valley. Too loud.

He stepped closer.

The ground shook with the rhythm of his heart beat.
And then his his heart stopped.
Silence.
Nothing seemed to happen. The suspense and absence of sound was unbearable. Alex peered over his shoulder

And that's when they appeared...
