Kiyotaka POV
It was the fourth day of Golden Week. I was cooking tempura, enough servings for two. Amasawa was currently in my room, reading notes that I wrote for everyday life after she admitted on the other day that she was indeed educated in the White Room.
Frankly, I was interested in what she was taught to disguise herself as an ordinary high school student. Though I was more interested in the reason why her personality is drastically different from what is expected from a person that came from that place. Nevertheless, she shouldn't cause too much trouble when we are alo-. As I thought that, the door was suddenly ridden with a barrage of knocks. My hopes for a relatively uneventful day were shattered by the continuous sound.
"Kiyopon? Can you let us in?" I stayed quiet.
I heard a couple of familiar voices as well, indicating it was the Ayanokouji group. I planned to remain silent until they conclude that I was not present in the room and eventually give up and leave.
"Senpai, you know it's rude to ignore guests right~?" Amasawa spoke in a low register one that would not be heard through the door.
I turned back as I paid attention to her, and to my surprise, Amasawa was not taking any unwarranted action. She was just sitting there humming melodically as she continued to read. That's quite strange.
"Kiyopon! We know you're in there." Was she just making a pointless thr- "Kiyotaka, we can feel the cool air from inside going under the door."
Were they actively searching for me? Normally, one's footwear and natural distance from the door would prevent them from noticing. That means they were actively searching for me. I avoided their messages concerning a meeting as they would just become suspicious and possibly tail me again if I said I had plans. I had a few ideas on what this meeting is about.
Reluctantly, I opened the door and there stood Haruka, Akito, and Keisei.
"Sorry I couldn't answer earlier. I was cooking. Why are you visiting me without notice?"
"Hmm? Whatever you cooked actually smells delicious. I guess that's understandable if you were cooking." Haruka said not minding my question at all.
"Anyway, Kiyotaka we were going to ask you about a few things. You didn't respond to any of our messages or calls so Haruka suggested that we should visit your room." Keisei explained.
"I see. But we should have this meeting later... Maybe, 30 minutes? I haven't cleaned my room yet."
"Wait... " Haruka saw through me as she looked like she realized something.
She pushed the door slightly to peek inside.
"Kiyopon, whose shoes are those?"
If they had come about thirty minutes after then they would have avoided the presence of Amasawa entirely. What unfortunate timing.
"... That-"
"Hello~ Hasebe-senpai."
"Kiyopon, what is she doing here in your room?"
"Remember the condition for her to be Sudou's partner? I have to cook for her if she wants to."
"Isn't that a bit unfair? She could deplete all your points." Keisei interjected.
"Don't worry Hasebe-senpai, there are restrictions put in the deal by Horikita-senpai."
I have to remember later on to tell Horikita about this if ever the Ayanokouji group or anyone that gets curious about this excuse.
