FANART ISNT MINE
"I had all,
and then most of you,
some,
and now none of you...
Take me back to the night we met."Dream hummed along with the sweet melody of his and George's favorite song. They would play it on loop for hours until the fell asleep, George in Dreams arms.
The short brunette had left to go home early that evening. He'd forgotten to return Dream's hoodie, but he didn't mind. George looked better in it anyways, according to Dream that is. The way the plush, black fabric draped over his small arms and fell down past his waist was enough to make dream fall for the brunette all over again.
After a long day of steaming at Dream's house, the 2 boys finally allowed themselves time in the evening to wind down and relax. Dream turned on a movie and he and george watched it. When George went home, Dream laid in bed and listened to his favorite playlist. The playlist name was "him." This was a mixture of songs that reminded Dream of George. He closed his eyes to blink when all of a sudden, it was 2017 again.
Dream had been coding all day and decided to hop onto discord to see if there were any open vcs. Maybe he could talk to someone new? He opened discord and saw that all the rooms were full, except for one. There was someone sitting in room five, alone. The name displayed on the screen was GeorgeeeHD. Dream had never interacted with this person before. Well... not technically anyway. The person sitting alone was George. He was an amazing coder. Dream aspired to be just like him. ~A while back, Dream needed a coding job done for one of his videos. He messaged George via Twitter asking for assistance. Not knowing who "Dream" was, George politely rejected Dream and moved on. The second Dream's phone lit up with the Twitter notification, he scooped up the phone and opened Twitter. After seeing the reply, he left George on read out of rage.~
Dream nervously entered the vc and muted his mic. Silence. Neither of them uttered a word.
"Hi..." Dream started. He was trying his best to start a conversation.
The silence lingered.
"I'm Dream. Well, my name is Clay... uh yeah."
A moment passed with no response. Suddenly, George's mic lit up with a lime green ring. Dream's eyes lit up along with it.
"Hi Clay. I'm George. Your name sounds familiar. Have we talked before?"
"Yes and no. You kind of rejected me on Twitter..."
Dream let out an anxious laugh.
"Ohhhhh wait!" George turned his web cam on and held his phone in front oof his face. Displayed on the screen was the private conversation the 2 shared.
"Is this you?" George questioned. His short brown hair was visible above the top of the phone.
"Mhm. Sorry for not answering."
"No no. It's fine," the brunette continued. "I don't blame you. Do you still need help?"
"Actually, no. I learned to code and I did it myself. Wasn't too difficult if I'm being honest."
"Really? How long did it take you?"
"Only about 2 months."
"Holy- It took me a lot longer than that," the brown eyed boy laughed.
Dream was starting to warm up to the British boy. He slowly relaxed and was able to thoroughly enjoy the conversation. They sat on call for hours into the night.
In the middle of the conversation, George's mic went silent.
"George?"
Dream sat in silence waiting for a response. He picked up his phone to check the time. The clock on his lock screen read 11:00 pm. He opened the clock app on his phone and realized that it was 4:00 am where George lived.
"George? Are you asleep?"
After not getting an answer, Dream quickly realized that he had probably fallen asleep. He quickly ended the call, not wanting to wake George. The dirty blonde got changed and went to bed.
When he awoke, it was present day again. Clay heard the soft, muffled music that had been playing on repeat all night. He sat up and ran his fingers through his wavy, dirty blonde hair. Dream rubbed his eyes and adjusted to the light. In an effort to locate his phone, Dream lifted the thin blanket and plush pillows off his bed. There under one of his pillows sat his phone, battery drained to 10%.
Dream always awoke to a text from George. He eagerly scooped up his phone. Displayed on the screen was...
"good morning clay! i just realized that i left with your jumper on last night. want me to bring it over?"
Dream quickly pulled up the keyboard and replied...
"It's fine LOL. I can come over to your house if that would be easier."
"whatever you want is fine. i would have to catch the bus if I'm coming to your place."
Dream threw on a t-shirt and some gray sweatpants. He grabbed his keys, gave Patches a kiss goodbye, and headed out the door. When he got into his car, his phone lit up once again. The wavy haired boy looked at the screen and immediately opened the text. It was a TikTok... from George. His heart skipped a beat. He clicked the link and the black TikTok loading screen appeared. He could see how messy his hair was in the dark reflection but before he could fix it, the loading screen vanished and the TikTok replaced it. The text on the screen said...
"Send this to someone who means the world to you. Don't be shy. Send it 😏"
Dream sat in shock. Did George care about him that much? The dirty blonde panicked and texted his other best friend, Sapnap, to ask for advice.
"SAPNAP HELP"
"WHATS WRONG CLAY"
"NOTHING. JUST LOOK"
~link to the TikTok George sent~
"GEORGE SENT THAT TO ME"
"hate to break it to you bud, but he sent that to me and bad too"
Dream's heat dropped to his stomach. Did he really think George thought about him like that? He set his phone down and started driving, defeated.
