DC's head swam.

DC's head swam and his body felt weak as he struggled to read the words on his laptop. He rubbed his forehead, trying to ignore the throbbing, as he forced himself to stay awake, promising his body sleep if it'd just let him finish this one piece of work.

As the fed struggled, California walked past the doorway to his office, pausing, then walking back to look at his boyfriend.

"Rosie?" California called stepping in.

"Be done in a minute poppy." DC mumbled trying to focus on the doc in front of him. California stepped into the office carefully, eyeing his boyfriend.

"Rosie, did you drink water today?" California asked. DC held up his empty coffee mug, making California roll his eyes.

"Not coffee I mean water-water. And....did you eat today?" DC chewed his bottom lip as he tried to think.

"Yeah I had.....I think I had....corn nuts..." DC muttered.

"And?"

"I.....I think some toast...." DC muttered, rubbing his eyes. California's jaw dropped and he quirky skirted around to the other side of the desk.

"Get up you're eating." California ordered.

"What? No, I'm fine....I just need to finish this." DC whispered. His head was throbbing, all he wanted to do was sleep.

"DC you haven't eaten all day, and all you've had is coffee. You're eating." California announced pulling his boyfriend up.

"No....work...." DC muttered, secretly knowing he was in trouble. California only called him 'rosie' so when he used his real name, he knew he meant business.

"C'mon, Texas made some brillo tacos and you're going to eat at least two before I let you go back to work." California announced walking his boyfriend out of his office and into the kitchen. The fire state plopped DC into a chair, and through the feds blurry vision he could see Texas at the sink washing dishes.

"DC hasn't eaten yet." California announced. Texas whirled around, getting suds all over the floor.

"Sugar you haven't eaten?" Texas asked.

"I'm fine...I had corn nuts." DC mumbled. Texas threw the dish back into the sink and walked over to a large crockpot sitting on the stove. California sat next to DC and gently held his hand as Texas came back with a plate with four tacos and plenty of sauce, and placed it in front of DC.

"Eat it sugar, you need it." Texas ordered. DC's blurry eyes focused on the tacos, and his brain went into overload. He could hear Bryan now, subconsciously ordering him a salad when they went out to eat or tell him to do juice cleanses or other diets because 'you're getting chunky there CiCi'.

"Y'know, I think I'm going to bed...." DC announced. He felt someone grab his shoulders and pull him back down on his chair.

"Rosie, please. You need to have some." California begged.

"I....I can't have tacos...." DC whispered. God when did the kitchen start spinning?

"You love tacos." Texas pointed out.

"I....my pants....they're....."

"Oh for FUCKS SAKE DC." California yelled, scaring the government. "You're not FAT! Whatever he told you is not true!"

"Poppy." Texas warned putting a hand on California's shoulder to calm him, before turning to DC. "Sugar, what Cali is saying is, you're perfectly fine how you are. You need to listen to your body and eat." DC was feeling super dizzy, and couldn't focus on either of his boyfriend's faces. His brain was screaming at him no, but he slowly reached down and picked up one of the tacos. DC could remember going to Disneyworld and having tacos with Florida at the Mexican pavilion in Epcot. Some reason he could silence the voice then, and just enjoy himself. Florida's call screen for him was a picture of him, sitting outside the restaurant thumbing up the camera with sauce dripping down his hand from the taco he's eating. DC closed his eyes and took a bite of the taco.

"There you go rosie." California whispered, rubbing DC's back. DC swallowed the bit of taco he ate, and smiled at Texas, sauce all over his teeth.

"'S good." DC announced.

"Plenty left for you to eat sugar." Texas said with a smile. DC took another bite of taco, silencing that voice at least for now. He was sure tomorrow morning that voice would return and tell him that he was wrong, but his stomach rejoiced at being fed tacos, as opposed to several cups of coffee and maybe some toast.

DC fell asleep not too soon after, shirt messy from the sauce and completely sated. He had two plates full of tacos and passed out right after the eighth taco. DC laid against California who gently held him against himself as Texas finished cleaning up.

"You know what we have to do tomorrow right?" California asked.

"Loui already took his laptop." Texas announced wiping his hands and placing the dishcloth on the counter. California nodded and looked down at his boyfriend who let out a snore.

"Maybe he'll be able to relax after the election." California whispered, tightening his arms around his boyfriend. "If he can't.....this will kill him."

"Not if we have anything to say about it poppy." Texas pointed out leaning down to his boyfriend and putting a hand through his hair. California sighed and looked down to DC.

"I hope you're right."
