I Can't find fanart of just Valt and Dante so this is gonna have no cover image or whatever you call them. Also, this book might be done a little differently compared to my previous works in terms of story-telling since disappearing for almost 3 years can do that, so I hope this turns out well. Anyways, enjoy!!!

Valt was currently lying in bed, looking out to the starry sky. He had won another Beyblade Tournament not too long ago, reminding the world once again why he was this generation's best blader. And, like the tournaments before it, they left him craving for more action. He originally thought that coming back home for a much-needed rest would help him wind down and relax, but all it did was add fuel to the fire. It got to the point where he found himself training for hours on end, leaving him with little time to spend with family and friends. It wasn't like Valt to ignore his friends to this degree, but something about the game kept tugging the strings at his heart.

He let out a sigh before looking over at his partner resting on the desk, Valtryek (Or Valkyrie)."What am I gonna do, buddy?" he mumbled before taking the bey into his hands. As most of you may know, Valt is a whisperer. And, unlike those scams you see in foreign markets on TV Shows and Movies, Valt can actually communicate with Beys as if they were people. This has helped him out most of the time, and he's hoping it will help him now. But he would soon realize, after staring at Valtryek for 20 minutes, that this was beyond her power. Another depressed sigh escaped his lips before he laid Valtryek back down on the desk.

Another two minutes passed before Valt heard a strange clacking sound coming from the window. He turned to see that someone was throwing rocks at it and rushed over to see that it was none other than Dante, standing on his front lawn. Besides Hyuuga and Hikaru, Dante was the only friend Valt didn't visit yet. Maybe he could help Valt with the predicament he's in. With that in mind, he cautiously went downstairs so as not to wake his family and met with Dante in front of their mailbox, who was quick to hug him. "It's been so long since I last saw you!" he said excitedly. Valt let out an embarrassed laugh as that was partially his fault, "Yeah, it's been way too long." Once they parted, Dante proceeded to bombard him with questions regarding the tournament he won while they took a stroll to and around the park.

By the time he had answered all of Dante's questions, it felt like he'd relived the event all over again, but he didn't mind since he liked the event as much as Dante did. "I wish I went to the tournament with you, then we'd see if Dragon could keep up with Valtryek," Dante said with a smile as he pulled his Bey from his pocket. There were some subtle yet noticeable differences, like the crimson red color replacing the bright red as well as black being the substitute for certain blue colors across the bey. The gold had a slight metallic texture, and flames were coming from the dragon's mouth.

"I call it Omega Dragon!" Dante said proudly. Valt let out a slight chuckle, watching as the stars in his eyes grow slightly. They reminded him of a time when his eyes shined just as brightly. In a way, Dante was just a mirrored version of a younger Valt. As Dante went on a rant about the changes he made on his Bey, Valt began to reflect over the past few weeks. Since when did the game become more about winning than having fun? At what point did it shift from becoming "The Best Blader" to " The #1 Blader"? More importantly, when did this shift happen in him? Was it at the end of the tournament where he won against Phi by a hair? Or when he faced Arthur two matches prior, where he also won on a whim?

Valt was pulled from his mind when Dante tapped his shoulder. "Hey, are you alright?" he asked. Valt didn't realize it, but he'd been carrying this somewhat unnerving expression. Dante may not be very intelligent, but he knows when something's wrong with his friends. But as much as Valt wanted to tell, there was a small part of himself that prevented him from doing so. Seeing this, Dante put on a determined face and placed his hands on Valt's shoulders (Despite the major height difference), "Valt, if there's something wrong, then you have to tell me. I can help you!" Those words resonated deep within Valt; he knew Dante meant every word that came out of his mouth, but whether he could help him or not was a gamble he was willing to make.

Once he finished explaining, he looked at Dante, "I don't know when it started, and I'm having a hard time dealing with it. I was wondering if you and the others could help me out." A few seconds passed before Dante uttered a response, "I didn't know this was what you were going through. I'm sorry I didn't see it sooner." Valt then placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a reassuring smile, "It's okay, buddy. You haven't seen me in a while, so you could've never known." This cheered him up a bit before he nodded slightly, "Okay, then we'll help you!" Hearing this made Valt's smile bigger as he nodded as well, "Good. In the meantime, why don't you tell me more about Omega Dragon?" The stars in Dante's eyes returned, reminding Valt once again of his younger self before he continued his rant from before.

Now, the sun was starting to rise, and both Valt and Dante were bouncing ideas off of each other. Some were about their Bey's design, while others were about new moves. The more they chatted, the more Valt could feel his view on Beyblade shift back to the way it was intended to play. But it wasn't until a few months after their talk, and bringing their friends in to help, did Valt's view changed completely, bringing back the cheerful Wonder Boy the world roots for, and a few weeks before his re-match against Hyde. But before leaving he thanked everyone for helping him, especially Dante, who he promised to be the first person he visits the next time he comes back to Tokyo.

Okay, before you finish reading I got a few things to say. First, I want to deeply apologize to whoever requested this. I feel really bad for making you wait this long for a simple one-shot, and I want to apologize if it wasn't to your liking. Another thing, I really wanted to add an intimate moment since I told them I was gonna do that but as you can see there wasn't a way to put one in without it looking like it was forced, and we definitely can't have that. Anyways, I want to apologize again to the person who requested this and I hope you can forgive me.
