Epilogue Part I : A month later - "Parents-official"

I walk down the stairs carefully to make sure I won't slip on my warm winter socks. It's a little over 6 in the morning and although the boys are supposed to meet Simon for their monthly reunion, Liam has not woken up yet. I walk past the light switch and decide to make a cup of tea by the early sunlight instead. I pull down the sleeves of my light blue sweater and squint out the window.

Lately everything's been sorta crazy! I sigh; but smile when I remember how my parents said they loved Liam already, when they first met him a few weeks ago. We'd been together for 7 months and had decided it was time we went "parents-official", as Harry and Niall liked to call it. My parents adored his fine manners, good humor and my Dad was convinced after their soccer conversation. I loved his family, although meeting his Mom had been a little awkward since Liam had told her almost everything about me, including my secret obsession with Pikachu... There really wasn't a lot left for me to tell her, so she kinda spoke for me all the time. It wasn't until Nicola stepped in that she let the talking over to Liam and me. I hadn't met his other sister, Ruth, yet since she was on a holiday with her husband to Australia. In the end, the day went by pretty quickly and I got out of their house happy, and still in one piece.

Of course, silly me, I had been stressing weeks beforehand and Liam noticed it soon enough. He took me out on his first Sunday off and we had a wonderful day (I added it to my list; "Beautiful days with Liam", which I hid in the back of my diary). Don't ask me how he did it, but he had managed to hire the London Eye just for the two of us for a full hour and took me to dinner afterwards. I laughed so hard that day, I thought my dress would be ripped into shreds and I felt so loved once again. That's when I decided to buy him a present in return, to thank him for all the effort he's put in our relationship and for all the love he's given me so far. Now, almost a month later, I still had not decided what to buy him. But I had an idea though: I feel like he wants a new tattoo, but is trying to hide it from me. Probably afraid I'd be mad at him for getting his I-don't-know-how-manieth ink, but I actually don't really mind. All of his tattoos have a story, so I'm fine with it. I smile as I think of every single story he's told me about, like the one of his arrows, my favourite.

I put my teacup in the sink and head to the bathroom. Once I finish getting ready, I take my diary and check on Liam. He's still asleep - although not really deep, he's been fussing around all night, I wonder what's kept him awake for so long - but his alarm is set on 7:30 so I leave him be for another half an hour. I head downstairs, draw the curtains and settle on the couch. I open my diary at the List and scrabble the lyrics of Parachute's You and Me next to the picture of our Sunday in London almost 2 weeks ago. I look up the song on my iPod and by the time the song has finished playing twice, my report is ready and I close my journal. I see that it's 7:35 and go upstairs to greet Liam. I kiss him good morning, right before he hops into the shower.

I check my emails and I see that my boss has left me a bunch of messages about Sonya and May, if I know where they are today since they haven't showed up on work yet. I frown. Sonya is the most punctual woman of my colleagues and May wouldn't think about getting on a wrong foot with our boss. She's got a baby girl of 2 years old and without a father things are really hard to cope, especially if we're talking about the bills. Hmm, they do however carpool every morning; maybe they've had an accident? I start to worry about them and think about giving them a call, just to make sure, after breakfast.

I've put everything on the table and I'm just finishing a new load of tea when Liam walks into the kitchen. "Hey, love, how's your morning been so far?" He pecks my lips again and smiles when a little blush creeps up my cheeks. "I might have woken up early today, but I've definitely slept way better then you have. You want to talk about the reason for your insomnia?" I ask him with a worried expression on my face. I can't tell if I'm really that worried about him or if there are still traces left of my thoughts about Sonya and May. He grimaces, but shakes his head. "It's nothing... to worry about. I just- I've got an idea, but- I don't know if I should talk about it with Simon or not." Now that's interesting, the last time I heard Liam stuttering like this was last week... when I had tried on a new outfit... when we were supposed to go to sleep, if you know what I mean... "Any of your ideas are good, Liam, I've got enough examples. You just need to find the words to tell Simon that." I smile lovingly at him and gesture for him to sit down while I prepare our cups of tea.

Hey folks!

I just want to explain where this epilogue fits: this is actually the first part of the epilogue that fits right after the main story: this chapter takes place 1 month after Chapter 2.

'Epilogue 1' was, as I explained at the end of that chapter, the first of a few independent epilogues which I'll base on a song. Sorry for the confusion xd

Hope you still like this story, and that I haven't let you down so far!

P.S. Shannon's blue sweater is on the side, so is the video for You and Me (lyrics are beneath the video in the description) :)

XXX Love and see you soon xd
