the monolid girl roamed her eyes to her surroundings. a rural area. lots of trees, less vehicles, and a lot more quiet environment.

contrary of a city she lives in, a city where busy people reside. a place where people breathe to work.

i like this better. the girl thought to herself.

her little daydreaming got interrupted when her aunt came in to her view, smiling widely at her.

"seul! right over here" the older woman shouted while waving her right hand.

seulgi walked to her aunt's direction and got welcomed by a bone crushing hug.

"omygod seul, you grew up so well. i remember when i first saw you, you were just this little kid who loves to eat pringles, but now wow."

seulgi chuckles because of the accuracy.

"that was like a decade ago auntie, you didn't witness me growing up because you dedicated your life working here in province."

"i like this place better, i grew up here you know. and kids in this place deserve an awesome teacher like me."

"sure they do" seulgi retorted while nodding.

the two woman entered a car and disappeared in sight.

seulgi rummages her bag and get her wallet; and sketch pad. she'd visit the nearby convenience store.

silent street, million of stars above your head. sound of the howling wind. feels like getting hold by a kid.

sound of the metal door echoed when she pushed the door. seulgi situated herself in one of the chairs.

she observes the place. there's no other people aside from the two of them. the girl who works at the shop.

she has a long black hair, small prominent nose, pink lips, and an intimidating pair of eyes.

she's beautiful.

the monolid girl decided to get a drink and stood up.

she looked for a cold coffee. some may find it weird but coffee doesn't make her stay at night, it helps her sleep instead.

when she finished looking for the particular coffee, she made her way to the counter.

seulgi put her coffee on the counter and the other girl punched it in the scanner.

"two dollars" the girl said while slowly looking up, labeling the taller girl's contact.

"here"

their eye contact interrupted when someone enters the store. irene handed the coffee to the monolid girl then turns her body sideways.

seulgi said thank you then walked back to her place.

seulgi checked her watch to see that it's already been two hours since she stayed in the store. she fixed all her belongings and stood up.

as she'll leave the store, she noticed that the other girl is also done with her night shift. she can't help but to wonder where the other girl is heading.

she finds herself walking behind the girl, they're heading in the same way that's why. but the shorter girl has another thought in her mind. she gather all her strength and when she feels like the silhouette of the other person is near, she clenched her body bag and throw it to seulgi with full force.

"hey ouch!" seulgi squirmed in pain.

"don't come near me!" irene said defensively.

"hey calm down i'm not a bad person." seulgi resonate while still holding the beaten part.

"how could i be sure of that, huh?"

"i know that humanity is repulsive and you shouldn't trust anyone but i am totally harmless"

irene calmed down and couldn't help but to feel guilty. she's sure that her hit was really painful just by looking at the other girl clutching her upper chest.

"I'm really sorry, it's just you know it's really dark and i feel like you're following me" irene explained while helping seulgi to stand up and get her things on the ground.

"yeah i understand." seulgi weakly nod in understanding.

"can you walk?"

seulgi's writhing face turned into an amuse one.

"i mean yeah you hit me but doesn't make me crippled." the monolid girl teases the girl.

"tsk, if you could just see your face."

when they settled and calmed down. seulgi extended her hands and introduced herself.

"by the way, my name is seulgi"

irene took her hands and replied.

"mine's irene"

the two girls made an eye contact and gave each other a small smile.

fin.
