Vanessa's childhood and her years in Vesuvia before the plague

A new beginning (start of Vanessa's years in Vesuvia)

Vanessa was sitting on a rock looking up at the sky and just basking in the sunlight. Her purple, blue and black tail shone and sparkled in the light and so did her blue and gold crown made out of shells.

After she had been sitting there for a while a pirate quietly swam up behind her , grabbed a small/medium-ish rock and hit her round the head with it. Vanessa fell unconscious and the pirate swam with her back to the ship.

Once the pirate had gotten back to the ship with Vanessa (who was unconscious)  he was ordered to place her in the box by the side of the ship. The pirate placed her in the box, wrapped bandages on her head as it was bleeding from the rock and  loosely placed the lid on top as he thought she would be unconscious for the whole journey. He was wrong. After only fifteen minutes of Vanessa being on the ship, she quickly figured out she was in a box and was able to push the lid off,haul herself out of it and into the sea. She did that by holding onto the side of the box and the side of the ship before pulling herself up and then diving into the sea.

"Aye Juro what was that sound?" the captain asked with his back to Juro.

"That was the sound of the mermaid leaving the box and jumping into the sea sir" Juro answered.

"Well, what are you standing around for? Go after her!" the captain ordered turning around to face him.

Juro nodded and jumped in after Vanessa. After a long struggle, Juro finally got her back on the main deck of the ship. He held her down onto the deck as she struggled against him whilst the captain and another pirate (Julianne) grabbed some rope. Once they had gotten the rope, Juro forced Vanessa to sit up as the captain tied her arms behind her back. Julianne then tied some rope around her tail. Juro then picked her up and placed her in the box.

Julianne chained Vanessa's tail to the side of the box making sure it is very secure. Juro then placed the lid on it and sat on the box.

Julianne walked over to Juro holding a bottle.

"Juro, move off of the box. The captain wants me to give this to her" she said indicating the bottle in her hand.

"Ok, but what is that?" Juro asked moving off of the box and helping Julianne take the lid off.

"It's a sleeping potion and it should keep her asleep for the whole journey to Vesuvia" she said, taking the cork out of the bottle and taking Vanessa's chin in her hand- forcing her to drink the potion.  After only a few minutes Vanessa fell asleep. Throughout the whole journey Juro and Julianne sat on top of the box and the only time they moved was so they could check on Vanessa to make sure she was still alive.

Soon enough they docked in Vesuvia. The captain and Juro picked the box up and carried her off of the ship and to the palace. As they were travelling to the palace, Juro and the captain dropped the box multiple times causing Vanessa to be jostled about in the box- giving her multiple bruises and small cuts from where the box was old and splintered. During the journey to the palace, Vanessa woke up fully and could hear conversations happening outside the box.

Once they arrived at the palace, a servant took them to see Lucio. The captain and Juro dropped the box in front of Lucio before bowing,

"Your lordship we have brought you the exotic fish you asked for" the captain addressed Lucio as he pointed to the box.

Lucio sauntered over to the box and opened it. "Pardon my language but holy fuck that's a mermaid wow that's more than I asked for!" Lucio said ecstatically.

When Lucio opened the box Vanessa quickly reacted out of fear by trying to attack Lucio with her tail but because it was chained to the box, she hurt herself which caused her to cry out in pain.

"Oh fuck that's some weird kinky shit that I'm not into but I do know someone who you would get along really well with. His name is Julian and he is really kinky and into quite some extreme shit" Lucio said, turning to the now very uncomfortable Captain and Juro.

Lucio then turned to one of the servants and ordered them to unchain and untie Vanessa. The servant unchained Vanessa's tail. As they did this, Vanessa hit them with her tail as she was scared and didn't want anyone near her.

The servant took a couple of steps back with a red mark on their cheek as they said "I don't think she wants anyone near her or touching her".

"Ok fine, go get Julian as she is hurt and he should know what to do" Lucio said to the servant before turning to the Captain and Juro "here is the money I owe you"- handing the captain a bag of coins before dismissing them.
