Iwaizumi and Oikawa were best friends, Iwaizumi saw Oikawa as more than that but Oikawa would never know that.
Iwaizumi loved everything about Oikawa,
from the way he smiled,
to the way he walked,
the way he laughed,
the way he cried,
the way he jumped after the volleyball when he was serving.
Through the good, the bad, and everything in between,
He found everything about him amazing.

Iwa found it hard not to love him,
He was perfect in his eyes.

and oikawa felt the same way,

He loved everything about him,
All the memories.
The time they sat on the roof of his house and talked for hours.
The time they snuck out together and got brought home by a cop.
All the times they stayed up all night and had movies marathons.
He loved every second he spent with Iwaizumi, every last one.

But it was too late for that.
He would never be able to enjoy one of those seconds with him again, or atleast not for a long time,
It felt like his whole world had just crashed down on him,
but this was his decision, so why did he regret it so much?
But he couldn't just take it back, for a lot of reasons.
He was already carrying his luggage through the white halls,
Iwaizumi had already let him go,
Oikawa had already sat down,
Then the plane took off.
The music blasting through Oikawas headphones weren't loud enough to hide the thoughts that they would never see eachother again, they were too loud.
And all of a sudden every thought that it wasn't too late was gone.
They both knew this moment would stick with them forever,
It would always stick,
No matter how hard they tried to push it away,
They moment they had lost eachother,
Every second would replay,
When Iwaizumi thought of Oikawa he wouldn't be able to think of that determined, Caring, Funny, Amazing boy he loved he would think of the exact moment he left, every second would stick with him and he wouldn't be able to get rid of it.

When Oikawa thought of Iwaizumi he wouldn't think of that caring, aggressive, funny, helpful boy, his best friend, he loved him, he wouldn't think of any of the memories or moments he had with him, the conversations, the happiness iwaizumi caused, the anger, the sadness, the excitement, nothing, he would think of the person who used to be his best friend, the person he left, the person who he could never get back. The person he loved.
He couldn't go back.
Everything they had disappeared in his mind.
But just for a second,
He had hope it would all come back someday,
then that one second turned in days, then months, and then a year.
He still had every bit of hope,
They, had every bit of hope.

Iwaizumi knew they would see eachother again, so did oikawa.

After all, he was perfect.

They, were perfect, but only together.
