In the Miyagi Prefecture, Kageyama and Oikawa were in the older male's bedroom playing Halo: Combat Evolved. Despite their rocky beginning, the two of them were extremely close, the reason being, Kageyama was Oikawa's younger brother. Of course, they weren't blood brothers, Oikawa had legally taken his student in as such back in middle school after his parents, unfortunately, died in a massive fire. To Kageyama, Oikawa and Iwaizumi were his only family, and Oikawa felt the same way seeing as his own parents were rather neglective.
But they could both agree that Iwaizumi was.... a bit aggressive. It wasn't uncommon that Iwaizumi would smack his head or throw volleyballs at Oikawa's head during practice, although the little known fact was that it was much worse than that. If Oikawa stepped even slightly out of line, Iwaizumi would slap him across the face or punch him in the jaw.
But lately, it's been getting worse.
Oikawa would now arrive at practice covered in disgusting purple and yellow bruises that littered his pale skin. It worried his teammates and friends to no end, but because they didn't know what was going on they couldn't do anything.
On the other side of Japan, in the Hyogo Prefecture, lived the Miya twins. The twins care about each other more than anything else in their lives, volleyball included. But unfortunately, Atsumu was not off the hook either. Like Oikawa, his boyfriend was less than kind.
While he never physically hurt Atsumu, Sakusa often degraded him and verbally killed him. Atsumu was now used to being called 'worthless' and 'disgusting'. Yet another thing the silver-haired twin wasn't aware of, was how their mother treated Atsumu. The golden-haired twin would just stand there as their mother screamed in his face and slapped him. He's been less talkative at practice and everyone noticed. Osamu had no idea what was happening to his precious brother.
No one had any idea what the two boys had to go through daily.

"Kawababeeeeeeeeee," Atsumu whined as they sat on the hood of Oikawa's car.The two were sitting in the middle of a parking lot, watching as smoke rose from their lips. Oikawa chuckled and let out a sigh.
"Yes Tsumubabe?" the brunette responded softly.
Atsumu's expression grew serious.
"How bad are they?"
Oikawa sighed and pulled off his shirt, revealing the disgusting marks left by Oikawa's beloved 'Iwa~chan'. Atsumu had to choke back a sob seeing his best friend like that.
"Tooru..." he mumbled.
Oikawa sighed and put his shirt back on, turning his attention back to the sky.
"What about you, huh? How are you holding up?"
Atsumu stayed silent, giving Oikawa his answer.
They did this often, emptying a pack of cigarettes between them as they laughed and talked about their lives. They were extremely close, running to each other for even the smallest inconveniences. They never did anything truly bad, besides the unfortunate addiction they picked up to ease their stress. Both of them were acutely aware their boyfriends treated them horribly, yet they both chose to believe that was their way of showing their love. Sakusa and Iwaizumi were the loves of their lives, they couldn't let go.
Atsumu pulled out the first aid kit in the console of Oikawa's car, treating the blue setter's wounds with care and precision.
"I swear, ya look worse every time I see ya..." Atsumu commented.
Oikawa chuckled dryly.
"Of course I do, Iwa~chan is just kinda relentless recently. He even lashed out at Tobio for defending me."
