Today was the day Lathan was going to meet my family... I was a little worried because my father was a bigshot and didn't approve of anyone even if they did make me happy...  You sighed as you finished putting on your lashes and fanning yourself so they could dry

You felt someone hug you from behind and you leaned into your boyfriend's touch as he gave you a kiss on your cheek "Everythings going to be fine" he reassured you wanted to believe that but you just couldn't "Are you sure" you said in a mumble he kissed your neck "Yes princess" he said looking in the mirror at you and him "What do you see when you look in that mirror" "I see my gang bangin ass boyfriend with anger issues" "That shit hurted buh... I see a beautiful girl imma marry someday and I'm going to try everything in my power to get her father to like me because I want to spend the rest of my life with this girl and start a family of our own"

"Aww babe that was so sweet," you said fanning yourself so the tears wouldn't slip out and make your make-up run he grabbed your neck and gave you a kiss on your lips "I love you and I'm going to try my hardest to make the best impression on your parents" "I love you too," you said reaching up and giving him a kiss

Your stress levels went down and your breathing was regular Lathan's words made you feel a lot better "Imma go get the car started baby" he gave you another kiss on your lips and went out to start the car, you took a deep breath as you looked in the mirror "You got this baby" you said smiling and kissed your mirror, you grabbed your purse off the bed and headed to the car 

30 mins later...

As soon as you pulled up to your parent's house your heart start to race and you started fidgeting with your purse Lathan noticed and put his hand on your thigh and chuckled "calm down ma" "Wha- what do you m-mean I am calm" you said giving the fakest smile ever "Y/n everything's going to be fine" You took a deep breath and nodded "Ok I'm ready" he smiled and got out the car jogging to your side and opening the door "Malady" he said holding out his hand and you took it "Why thank you my good sir" you said hopping out the car you both laughed, Lathan always knew how to make you smile even in times like this before you guys went inside you inspected him "What are you doing ma" he said smiling and you lifted up his shirt "Good your not sagging" you were relieved he rolled his eyes "Can we go now" he said about to knock on the door "Wait" you said in a whisper yell he sighed as you touched up his hair and licked your thumb wiping something off the corner of his mouth

"Did you really just-" "Yes yes I did now lets go" As Lathan was about to knock the door opened revealing your mother and your father behind "I knew we saw your car outside come on in" your matter said with a smile letting you both in "You look lovely Miss (L/n)" Lathan said giving her a hug "Oh Lathan honey thank you you've always been so sweet" Ok so far so good "Y/n honey come here don't stand there like a stranger" Your mom pulled you in for a hug "Oh sorry mom" you kissed her cheek

"Hi daddy," you said giving your father a hug "How's my baby girl" Just great daddy" you gave your father a kiss on his cheek as Lathan took a deep breath and went up to your father "Hello Mr. (L/n) It's nice to finally be meeting you" He stuck his hand out waiting for a handshake and you just stood there please, daddy please Your dad chuckled as he pulled Lathan in for a surprising hug "y/n honey come help me set the table" "coming mom"

Lathan's Pov

I was surprised as I was pulled into a hug from y/ns father "Listen here young man I'm feeling pretty generous today from having a lecture from my wife, don't take me as some type of pushover my daughter is special and deserves the best let me just find a little something wrong with you even just a tiny hair outta place and you'll be 6 feet under with a tombstone over your head in a heartbeat" Lathan swallowed hard "Y- yes sir" he patted Lathan's back and smiled now let's go eat son I'm starving Didthisniggajustactlikeheaintthreatenmywholelife!! lathan gave a smile as they both head towards the dinner table

Y/n pov

*in the kitchen*

"Your father and Lathan seemed to be getting along pretty well," your mother said smiling "I know right I'm so happy this is what I've been wanting for so long" you smiled  "Well I'm glad your happy dear," your mother said kissing your cheek "Now cmon let's bring out these last pots" you nodded and both head into the dining room as you walked in you saw your dad and Lathan making small talk you smiled "Dinner is ready," you and your mother said in sync Lathan looked up at you and smiled

Lathan's pov

"Just remember what I said about putting you 6 ft u-" "Dinners ready" you hear Miss (L/n) and your girlfriend yell "Put  a smile on your face you look scared shitless," he said hitting your chest which forced a smile on your face

Y/ns Pov

Dinner was going so good I couldn't believe it I was so happy all you could do was smile "Daddy can you pass the please"  

Lathan/ You Dad: Here honey 

With that, your father pulled out a gun shooting Lathan in the head and his brains blasting out all over the food and your face

After dinner when it was time to leave your father pulled you to the side "If your happy I'm happy honey" you smiled at your dad kissing him all over his face "I love you I love you I love you" he chuckled "I love you too sweetheart" as he pulled in for a hug he gave Lathan a death stare that you couldn't see "Thanks again and it was nice meeting you Mr. and Mrs (L/n)" Lathan said "It was very nice meeting you too dear" your mother said hugging Lathan and your father pulled Lathan in for a hug as you hugged you mom 

"Bye Mom bye daddy see you soon," you said waving "Bye Mr and Mrs (l/n)" Lathan said waving, Lathan then opened the door for you and he went to the driver seat and he hoped in the car and started driving, your smile was still plastered on your face as Lathan smiled at you seeing you happy "So what did you think about my dad"
