I smiled at everyone before I went up to my room.
The moment I entered my room, my tears started running down my face then I started sobbing. It shouldn't hurt. It shouldn't affect me anymore. I should've got used to it. But I guess I was wrong, because everything still felt like it happened yesterday.
I stopped sobbing when I heard my phone rang. "Hey"
"Are you okay? Where are you? I'll pick you up." I sobbed. I just cried and cried on the phone.
"Please tell me what happened. where are you? I'll come pick you up this instant." I heard the sound of the car keys being picked up.
I forced a chuckle in between my sobs.
"No, I'll be fine. You don't have to pick me up. I am fine." I managed to stop sobbing and took a deep breathe before talking again. "I am fine now. Everything will be alright now. The pain's going to stop-"
"What are you talking about?"
"-I will be fine now. I will be genuinely happy. I am sorry I cried. I'm sorry I brought pain. I'm so sorry for everything. I have to go. I want to rest. I'll be fine okay?" I assured.
"Are you sure?"
I chuckled. "Yes. I will be fine now. Thank you for everything. You're a wonderful friend and a sister to me. I love you. Goodbye, Heather."
With that, I dropped everything.
