“Laney. We can't stay here anymore. We're out of food. We have to go find more" l said as I watched my friend pace back and forth around the hotel room. It had been about a month since the dead came back to life and began roaming the earth in search of live people to feast upon. Us two girls, originally from Canada, were on vacation in South Korea and were now stranded. We lived in our hotel room since the outbreak and we now needed to leave. My friend Laney was too scared to leave. But I knew we had too.
"I don't want to leave. What if they get us!?" Laney shouted.
"Just aim for their head. I watched enough Walking Dead to know how to kill these bastards." I said standing up and packing a bag with our survival needs in it. She hugged herself and sat down with a huff.
"Can't we just... raid the kitchen again?" She asked.

"You know its overrun. And we got everything we could from there." I sighed. She just doesn't know how to give up.
"Fine."
"We'll be fine. I'm sure there are others out there. We can join someone and get help; Like in the walking dead." I said.
"Always so optimistic." She sighed.
"Well someone's gotta be... come on. We're ready." We pulled on some shoes; my black doc martins and she had on a pair of black and purple high tops. She was tall with shoulder length blonde bouncing curls. She had on her thick light green rimmed glasses and a pair of dark blue skinny jeans; with a black band t-shirt on. It was still summer so we didn't have to dress too warm yet. I was pretty short; Like less than 5 feet short, But not too short; about 4' 10" maybe? I had a little longer than shoulder length black hair with some curly waves. I had on my favorite black tight skinny jeans to match my boots. I wore my plain black v neck t-shirt and my trusty Super Junior bracelet. It was white with blue lettering.
We adjusted our gear. Throwing our bags over our shoulders and hooking our knives in our belts.
"You ready?" I asked, walking over to the door and preparing to open it. She nodded and I pulled open the door, preparing to sneak past quietly by the few walkers that littered the halls.

We made it to the exit, scanning the outside from the safety of the lobby. Laney had her knife at the ready as we prepared to pry open the automatic doors.
"There's a good three dozen out there at the least. You sure we can do this?" She asked. I nodded.
"There's a convenience store just over there. If we could just plow through these geeks here, then we should be fine." I said. Laney hesitated but prepared her line of sight as she held the door, ready to pry it open.
"Okay. Ready?" She asked. I nodded and we pried open the doors. As soon as they were wide enough we grabbed our knives and ran for the store. Laney got a couple geeks as we ran. I just ducked under and around since I wasn't tall enough to reach their heads without possibly getting bit or scratched.
"Katie!?" She shouted from behind me. I turned just in time to see walkers surround her.
"Shit!" I spun on my heels and began to run toward her, knocking down biters as I went. She stabbed a few but was screaming loudly as more surrounded her.
Just as we thought we were done for, a loud bang sounded and then a few more, making the walkers around us fall one after another. I looked around and saw a man running toward us. He was shouting Korean until he saw we weren't Korean then shouted English. We learned some Korean for when we came here, so we know a bit, but he was speaking to fast.
"Are you okay?" He shouted. The man had messy short black hair. He was dirty and covered in blood. But as he got closer I noticed he looked familiar.
"Lee Taemin??" I gasped. He stood in front of us and began checking us over to see if we were infected at all.
"Oh. You are fans?" He asked once we were both declared safe. He put his gun in his gun holster and placed his hands on his hips. I looked up at him and even in this time; living hell on earth. I was still star struck.
"Even like this, you’re still handsome." I muttered. He looked at me and gave me an innocent giggle. The sparkle in his eye was still there. From so many pictures that sparkle was my favorite feature.
"Gamsahabnida." He thanked me with some blush on his face.
