Chapter 7
It had been a few months since the insistent with Onew. Taemin and I moved in to his room and I feel terrible about the way Onew and I look at each other. Especially since I think Laney has caught on. Onew and I go on runs often by ourselves, so we can be alone. But we’ve never gone farther than just kissing. We feel guilty doing this behind Taemin’s back. But whenever we say we’re going to stop, we find ourselves in each other’s arms again. Taemin and Minho had gone on a run. Key was in the other room with Laney and it was just me and Onew in the kitchen. I was washing the dishes and he was helping me. We were silent the whole time. We had used the burner to boil the water and we found some dish soap at one of the houses we raided a few weeks ago. Onew put the dish he was drying down on the counter and stared at it for a moment.
“Katie…” he began. I looked up to him and I could see the seriousness in his expression. I dried my hands on his towel and took his hand in mine. He squeezed it gently and looked to me.
“What is it?” I asked. He turned around and grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up and placed me on the counter behind me. I placed my hands on his chest and gripped his shirt. He held my face in his hands and kissed me deeply. I let go of his shirt and hugged him tight as we kissed more and more. His hands moved down to my waist, I could feel his thumb tracing circles on my waistband. I pulled him closer to me, feeling him against me was the best feeling in the world. Just as we were getting heated and more into the kissing we heard someone clear their throat behind us. Onew jumped and pulled away from me, turning around to see Key standing there with an angry expression and Laney covering her mouth in shock. Onew helped me down from the counter and took off to our room, not muttering even a word. I looked to Key and Laney and they both crossed their arms and looked to me for an explanation.
“Katie…” Laney glared. I felt my face heat up in embarrassment.
“What the HELL was going on there?” Key demanded, walking over to me and shoving me against the counter again. I stared up at him and felt a little scared.
“I…I—“ I began, but Key wouldn’t let me talk.
“How could you do that to Taemin!” he shouted. I gasped and leaned back into the counter. I looked over to Laney who was starting to head over to us. She touched Key’s shoulder and tried to push him away from me.
“You’re scaring her.” She said softly.
“Good! You little two-timer! How could you!” Key shouted.
“It’s not her fault!” Someone shouted from the hallway. We all looked over to see an angry Onew.
“Oppa…” I whispered. He walked over and grabbed Key by the shirt and pulled him away from me.
“You! Hyung how could you allow that to happen?! What would happen if Taemin caught you two and not us?” Key shouted at him.
“I love her!” Onew shouted. Laney and I gasped and Key’s eyes grew wide.
“Jinki-ah…” I stepped closer to him and touched his arm, but he shrugged me off.
“I realize that doing this was wrong. We should have stopped this long ago. But I couldn’t help myself today. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay. We won’t tell Taemin, right Kibum?” Laney asked. Key’s head snapped to look at her. His expression was distorted with mixed emotions.
“But… Taemin needs to know.” Key said.
“Let them tell him. It’s none of our business.” Laney explained. Key looked to Onew and I and sighed.
