Hearing this song reminds me of the fierce, strong, inspiring, black women in my life. She not only pushes me to success but she also guides me every step of the way. I have seen times when we didn't have much but all she said was that “Jehovah will provide”. I have seen her at her lowest and she still had a smile on her face. Fifteen years ago I entered this world, catching sight of a beautiful woman. She was young and didn't have much. She did not have a job, money or even people supporting her. She was basically alone in the dark world but that did not stop her. She did not stop loving me and she did not give up. She worked hard day and night to achieve what she has now. I remember the many times I was down and she was always there to comfort me. I make mistakes at times but she taught me to learn from them. She may be rough on me but I understand that she only wants the best for me.
My mother can be really protective but I understand that she loves me and doesn't want anything to happen to me. She does everything in her power to make me comfortable and happy. There is no one in this world who can ever replace this woman because she is one in a million and irreplaceable. A mother can be strict and won't let you do all the things other people consider as fun but I have learned from my mother that I should never be a follower, I should be a leader. I have learned that you will never know the worth of a person until you lose them. I can't imagine my world without my mother because she is my motivation and my light. Without her I cannot see. I am grateful for my mother and everything she has done for me and that is why one day I want to give her everything she deserves and enjoy life as she should because she is a queen and deserves to be treated like one. This inspiring woman once said to me “Be a woman that wants a person but doesn't need them”.
