Sasha's POV
"You stupid bitch. I told you to clean. You know what happens when you disobey me." He grabs my arm and drags me to my room in the basement. He ties my hands to the railing and removes his belt. Then he removes my pants and underwear and begins hits me. He made me count the hits, but after a while I felt so numb. My body could hardly take this anymore I began to pass out. Just like all the other times he's hit me.
Because of him I could no longer wear short sleeves or shorts. He burnt my skin with scares and beat me with whips and belt. Each beating lasted an hour so when he finally stopped and untied me he went upstairs where he and the wretched bitch he was married to had loud sex. Then after 2 more hours I finally heard them sleep and I could finally get away. I had been planning this for years. I knew what not cleaning could cost me. I knew I had to catch that train into New York. I had to run fast. So I grabbed my dad's guitar, that the guy allowed me to keep so I could entertain him and his friends in skimpy clothes. I opened the window and climbed through. I knew the minute I was off the property he would wake up, but I knew a way for him to not find me.
I looked at my surroundings and made sure no one is awake then I ran off the property and ran as fast as I could to the gate and began to climb it as the man shouted my name from his car, but instead of looking back I ran. I ran as fast as my feet could take me. I ran so fast to the bus station and I stopped there so that I could leave my guitar case there and grabbed the one I hid last week and run again. I ran all the way to the train station where I got to the train just in time. I got on and the train moved. Thanks to a friend who got lucky to have a good family I got a train ticket so the minute the conductor came by I had mine out and ready so he wouldn't have to see my face. He did his thing and moved on.
Hours into the trip they began to pass out food. Though of course it cost money so I denied it as they passed along the isles, but many others didn't. I saw people buying heaps of food and as they ate I heard my stomach groan. Ignoring it I turned to look out the window I hummed my favorite song in my head.
"Would you like this?" I looked up and saw a boy about my age holding out a sandwich and a water.
"What do you want for it?" The guy looked stunned, but nodded understanding me.
"How about you sing a song for me? If you can't accept it after that than make it two." He smiled brightly and waited for my answer. I nodded yes, but felt reluctant to trust anyone.
"As long as I'm not eating your food than sure."
"You're not. I saw you get on the train and saw a chance to talk to a pretty girl." He hands me the sandwich and sits next to me. "My name is Bradley Stuntly. I am 18, when I see a pretty girl I strike." I took the sandwich kindly and dug in as he spoke.
"I am Sasha Knolls. Thank you for the sandwich and I will sing my two favorite songs for you Bradley because there is still 20 more hours of this trip and any reason to play will bring me joy."
"What are the songs?" He opens his sandwich and begins eating so I do the same.
"Lion Heart, by S.B Cruz and Warrior by Demi Lovato." Bradley chuckles when I first mention my favorite new singer who just came out with his first album, but no one knows who he is. "Why is that funny to you?"
"It isn't I'm sorry." I drink some water and finish off half my sandwich.
"I'll just do Warrior instead."
"Love the song" I smile at him and remove my guitar and begin to strum the song then I close my eyes and let the music flow through me.
"This is a story that I have never told
