(Y/N) POV~
"But hear me out," My friend Miwa said as she held a hand up to my face before motioning towards a man sitting at a table, "He's totally your type"

I looked in the direction that she motioned it, there was a guy sitting on his own looking around the bar that we were at.

"I think you mean your type," I said rolling my eyes as I took a sip of my drink.

"Oh come on you need to get out there, date someone," She groaned as she took a sip of her drink.

"I think you mean that you need to get out there," I sighed as I looked around the bar, "Anyways I don't think I'm ready to start dating again"

"Fine, but I am single by choice, there are tons of guys who want to be with me," She huffed out crossing her arms.

"Sure there are Miwa, sure there are," Our other friend Zac said as he walked over to us from behind the bar.

I laughed to myself as I put money on the counter, "That's for my drinks, see you two soon"

"Leaving already?" Miwa asked and I nodded my head.

"I've got work tomorrow, and I don't want to be late and have to deal with the boss," I say as I walk out of the small bar with a wave behind me.

I took a deep breathe once I got outside. The cold night air surrounded me as I turned to start walking home. It wasn't a long walk back to my small apartment from the bar.

Once I got to my apartment I grabbed my keys and unlocked my door. I threw my bag onto the floor and closed and locked the door behind me. I yawned and stretched my arms out as I walked to my room and got changed into something comfortable.

Once I had finally finished getting ready for bed I laid down and closed my eyes hoping to fall asleep as fast as possible and not have to take a power nap at work again.

I tossed and turned and when I had finally begun to drift off to sleep the sound of glass shattering came from my living room.

I quickly sat up and looked to my closed door, this all felt to familiar.

I took a deep breath as I got out of bed and headed to the door, I'm not a little girl anymore, I'm an adult.

I opened the door and walked out into my living room to see the glass from my window on the ground with two people laying in the middle of it.

One had a knife above their head pulling their arms back ready to stab the person below them.

With a flick of my wrist a stream of water shot out from my hand and froze around the knife before pulling the now frozen knife towards me.

Both people looked at me and the one on top panicked. I held the knife in my hand and looked down out it to see a bit of blood on the blade. I looked up at the two people again and sighed.

"Leave," I said as I looked at the person on top. They looked about ready to try and fight me, before I threw the knife towards them, just barely missing their head and cutting off some of their hair, "If you leave now I won't report you to the authorities"

They quickly scrambled off of the person below them before jumping out of the now broken window. They landed on the stairs outside of the window, which were used as a fire escape, and quickly disappeared into the night.

I looked at the person on the ground. He sat up as he grabbed his arm, blood covering his hand. I sighed to myself as I watched him begin to get up.

"I can fix you up if you want," I said as I looked down at him. He raised an eyebrow at me and I shook my head, "You don't seem to want to kill me, anyways I've done stupider stuff than offer to help a random stranger who just broke through my window with someone trying to kill them"

He starred at me and I shook my head slightly, "I understand if you don't trust me, you can leave now with a that cut and I won't tell the authorities, or you can let me clean you up and I wont tell the authorities, either one, your choice"

I shrugged my shoulders as I walked away from him. Even if he did try and kill me I wouldn't find it to big of a deal, people have tried to kill me before in my own home, the only difference is that I'm an adult now, and even if he was looking to steal from me, there's nothing I have that's worth anything, I don't really spend the money I have, I save it instead.

"Fine," I heard him mumble and I turned to look at him quickly. I turned back and walked to my bathroom getting a small first aid kit and walking back out to him. I put the first aid kit down on the floor and walked to my kitchen. I filled a glass with water and walked back out.

I set the glass of water down before sitting down beside him. I flicked my wrist towards the window and the water from the glass slowly moved out of the glass and spread across the area that had shattered before freezing, that should hold until the morning, hopefully.

I sighed as I opened the first aid kit and got to work. As I began to patch him up I managed to get a closer look at him. He had burns all over his body, and dark hair, with piercing turquoise eyes.

"You got a name?" I asked as I fixed him up. I wasn't expecting him to tell me, maybe he wouldn't even talk.

"You want my name?" He asked looking at me as I continued to work on the cut.

I shrugged my shoulders, "If you're fine with it I guess," I said as I let out a small yawn. I looked at him and I could tell that he still barely trusted me, "Fine Mr. No Name, I honestly don't mind, you don't have to tell me your name"

As I finished I stood up with the small first aid kit in hand, "There you go"

I was going to offer to maybe clean some other injuries that he had, like the staples he had in his skin but I decided to just keep to the ones that he seemed to have from the fight he just had.

"You can leave now if you want," I said as I walked to my bathroom. I put the first aid kit away and walked back out to the living room.

He was standing now heading towards my window, well the part that wasn't now covered in ice, the part that actually had a latch on it to open and close it.

"Thanks for cleaning me up," He mumbled as he opened the window and climbed out.

"No problem," I said as I closed and locked the window behind him.

I sighed as I grabbed the glass from the floor and brought it to the kitchen putting it in the sink before turning it on and splashing my face with cold water trying to clear my head from the memories that had resurfaced, again. The memories that I try so hard to forget.

I turned the water off, droplets of water falling from my face. I whipped it off slightly with my sleeve before heading back to my room.

I knocked on the sheet of glass over the broken part of my window slightly when I passed it to try and make sure it wouldn't fall from any strong wind.

I wandered back to my bedroom and laid down. I sighed as I wrapped my blankets around me tightly and attempted to go back to sleep, I'll have to get the window fixed tomorrow.
