Chapter 7

(Y/N) POV~
"You're not going to work tomorrow, but we already planned to hangout here with Miwa so I'll see you tomorrow," Zac said as I came out of the back room and stood in front of the counter, "I'll call you about your schedule tomorrow during the day"

"Thank you again Zac, I really appreciate you letting me work here," I said smiling before I walk out of the bar. Zac was getting ready to close so he sent me and the other worker home.

When I reach my apartment I go straight to the elevator where I'm met with the man I saw the other day when Dabi was with me.

I turn away from the elevator and start to head towards the stairs.

"(Y/N)!" I hear him yell towards me, "You really are going to cheat on your boyfriend?! I know you just broke up but you two are getting back together soon! I told him about the guy you were with and he wasn't happy!"

I ignore him as I open the door to the stairs and quickly head up them to my floor. I take my key out and quickly unlock my door and get inside to lock it again. I put my forehead against the door as I let out a sigh.

A knock on my window startles me and I bang my head against the door by accident. I turn around as I rub my forehead to see Dabi at my window.

I walk to the window and unlock it, allowing him to open it and climb through, "I'm sorry for scaring you Doll"

"It's fine," I say waving him off as I walk to the kitchen. I hear the window close and lock, and hear him walk into the kitchen.

"Let me see," He says tapping my shoulder. I turn around and give him a confused look.

He puts his hands on my cheeks and turns my face from side to side before looking closer at the place that I banged my head. I could feel my face begin to heat up slightly from how close he was.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm making sure your okay," He said and I let out a small laugh. He stares at me and I smile.

"I said I'm fine," I gently grab his wrists and take his hands off of my face.

"Well I should get to play doctor sometimes, you're always the one who gets to be the doctor," He says as he sits down in a chair.

"And you're always the one who has somebody trying to kill them," I say as I grab a glass and begin to fill it with water.

"You're a Rescue Hero, all Hero's get hurt," He says as he leans back in the chair.

"Correction I was a Rescue Hero, and I was always very careful not to get hurt, and if I did I have other ways to fix myself up," I say and he gives me a confused look.

"You were a Rescue Hero, the other day you said that you are one"

"I quit, I still have my license but I quit my job, I'm not working as a Rescue Hero anymore," I say as I put my glass down.

"But you still basically count as one, right?"

"Yes, and why is that?"

"It's just funny to me how a Hero is allowing a Villain to basically live with her," He says as he lets out a small laugh.

I was about to say something when there was a knock at the door. I look in the direction of the door before hearing another loud, more aggressive knock.

I walk to the door and check to see who it is.
It's him.

I step back from the door quietly before he bangs on it again, "(Y/N) I know you're in there! My friend saw you come into the building!"

I stay silent, I don't speak, don't move, don't blink, I don't even breathe. He's back, at my door, waiting for me to open it to let him in.

I feel a weight on my shoulder and flinch. I turn to see Dabi giving me a worried look as he rests a hand on my shoulder.

"Who is it?" He whispers in my ear. I take a moment to try and collect myself before answering him.

"My ex-boyfriend," I mutter before I slightly jump when he bangs again.

"Stop hiding (Y/N)! Come on!" He yells through the door.

I feel the weight on my shoulder lift as Dabi walks towards the door. My eyes widen in panic as I reach out towards him, but he opens the door before I can do anything.

"What do you want?" Dabi asks starring him in the eyes.

"Oh you're the one that she's cheating on me with," My ex says as he crosses his arms.

"Cheating on you? I thought she broke up with you?"

"Ya she did, but we're still basically together, we just needed a small break, we're back together now, and she's cheating on me!" He starts to get angry as he looks at me passed Dabi.

"Give me one moment," Dabi says with a smile as he closes the door. He turns to me and gives me a small smile, "Can you grab any of his stuff that's still here?"

I take a moment before a quickly go to my bedroom and dig through my closet for the box of his stuff. I look at it for a moment before picking it up and bringing it to Dabi.

"Let's go," He says motioning to the door. He looks at me for a moment before coming towards me and putting his hands on my cheeks, "I won't let him touch you, I won't let him breathe on you, you just say the word and he'll be ashes"

I nod my head as he walks with me to the door. He opens the door and gives my ex a fake smile, "Sorry for the wait"

Dabi stays between me and my ex as we walk out of the door and he closes it behind us.

"Hey that's my stuff!" I hear my ex yell as he comes toward us.

"Really, I thought it was fire wood, I guess it could be both," Dabi said smiling at him before he ushered me down the stairs.

We go to the back of the apartment building with my ex following closely behind us. Dabi takes the box from me once we're outside and places it on the ground.

"What are you do-" My ex stops mode sentence as he watched the box of his things go up in blue flames.

"Isn't that a nice fire?" Dabi says. He then turns to my ex, "Oh wait, those were your things in that box!I'm sorry, but they made good fire wood!"

Dabi turns to me and grabs my hand. My ex stares at the fire not moving as Dabi leads me into the building.

"When we get to your apartment pack a bag, you can stay with one of your friends if you want, or I can bring you to my place," he said as he opens the door to my apartment.

Miwa is at some guys house that she met at the bar, and Zac has already done too much for me. I freeze for a moment before Dabi speaks.

"Go pack a bag, I'll bring you to my place," He says sitting on the couch and watching the door.

I walk to my room and grab a bag, I put everything that I think I'll need into it. How long will I be able to stay at Dabi's place? Should I bring anything else?

I shake my head and check everything in the bag to see if I'm missing anything important before taking it with me to the living room where Dabi is waiting.

"You ready to go doll?"
