"I heard bitch one and bitch two are besties now, are you okay?" Arden asked as she slid into a seat across from me in the cafeteria at our school.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I sighed, stabbing my salad absentmindedly.
"Ken, your salad says otherwise," Arden noted, as she watched my fork continuously stab my salad.
I sighed and ran my fingers back through my hair, "I honestly don't know what I was expecting. I think in my mind I was just hoping they fell off the face of the earth and would never bother me again, but like of course they're still here. But the fact that they're friends, I figured even Hailey wouldn't stoop to the level of being friends with Kelsey."
"Those types of girls always end up becoming friends with each other. It's like in their nature," Arden stated.
The bench shifted underneath me as Wyatt sat down next to me. He kissed the side of my head and wrapped his arm around my waist, "Don't worry Kennedy, eventually they'll get what is coming for them."
I sighed before taking a bite of salad, "I hope so."
"Hey Grayson, did you know we are having a baby? Because I sure didn't?" Jess asked him as they both sat down at the table with us.
"Really? Who told you that?" He asked sarcastically.
"Seriously people think you're pregnant, people think I'm pregnant again, I'm surprised I haven't gotten asked why I don't have my baby with me today?" I told Jess.
"Damn rumors, who the hell even decides to start these things?" Wyatt groaned.
"The people who have nothing interesting happening in their own lives," I shrugged.
"Now if that ain't the truth, I don't know what is!" Arden exclaimed, holding her water in the air before taking a drink of it.
I noticed Jameson still hadn't made it to our table to join us, so I scanned the cafeteria to see if I could spot him. Sure enough I found him cornered by Hailey.
"Well shit. Arden, your boyfriend needs saving," I said, pointing to where Jameson was stuck with Hailey.
"Can she not keep her hands to herself for like more than sixty seconds?" Arden mumbled as she rose from her spot to rescue James. I watched as she walked over with ease and grabbed Jameson's hand. Hailey said something to her before Arden snapped something back and pulled Jameson over to our table.
"What did she say to you?" Jess asked.
"She basically said something about how she couldn't believe I had already claimed the 'fresh meat'," She sighed, sitting down.
"Wasn't she trying to do the same thing?" Grayson asked.
"So James, you've met Hailey, she just peachy isn't she?" I asked.
He chuckled, "She definitely seems like the type to be an awful friend."
"Tell me about it," Arden groaned.
"Maybe I just never paid attention, but my old school never seemed to have this much drama and clique like activity," Jameson shrugged.
"I didn't pay attention much either, until Kennedy got pregnant and soon all of the drama became centered around us," Wyatt shrugged.
I chuckled lightly, "Being pregnant just brings all the drama to your doorstep. You would not believe how many girls came up to me throughout my pregnancy and accused me of lying about Wyatt being the dad. Like I'm sorry but I think I know who I've had sex with better than you do."
The whole table laughed as my phone buzzed with a reminder. "Crap, I have to go pump. I'll see you all next hour," I sighed, standing up from the table.
"Do you need me to come with you?" Wyatt asked.
"Nah, you can't do anything anyway, just stay here, I'll see you in like ten minutes," I told him before pressing a kiss in his lips.
I then headed out of the cafeteria towards the main office. The school was nice enough to give me access to the nurse's office to pump, since I wasn't feeding Noah at home anymore. There was also a fridge that I could store everything in to make it a lot more convenient to store until I was ready to bring it home with me. After finishing, I headed out of the office, wishing the office ladies a nice day.
I turned the corner to head to my classroom, but was shoved into the wall by somebody walking the other direction. I tried to see who it was, but was unable to tell because of the hoard of kids heading to their next class from lunch. I massaged my shoulder slightly as I walked into my next class and slumped into the seat next to Wyatt.
"I hate everyone at this school," I sighed, placing my head on his shoulder.
He look over at me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "What happened this time?" He asked.
"I got shoved into the wall, like can people not just move out of the way?" I sighed, pulling my phone out from my pocket. I opened a text from my mom with a picture of Noah, a huge gummy grin spread across his face. The photo instantly relaxed me and I smiled at my sweet boy's face.
"Looks like somebody is having a good day," I said, showing Wyatt the picture.
He laughed at it, "Babies, they have such an easy life."
"How about we just quit school and stay home with him forever?" I suggested.
"In your dreams Ken, we literally have a year left."
"Well, at least a girl can dream," I sighed, taking one last look at the picture of Noah before putting my phone down, "The rest of this day better go fast."
Thankfully, it did. At the end of the day, Wyatt had football workouts, so I drove his car back to my house to take Noah off of my mom's hands because she had a night shift at the hospital.
"Mom, I'm home!" I called out when I opened the front door.
"Just in time! I was about to make a bottle for Noah, but if you're here I don't need to," Mom exclaimed as she handed my baby over to me. I shrugged my back pack off my shoulder and got Noah comfortable before sitting down on the couch.
"So, how was your first day?" Mom asked, taking a seat on the opposite side of the couch.
"Not horrible, definitely missed this little guy, that's for sure," I said, stroking Noah's soft head.
"He missed you too, took him longer to eat and fall asleep than normal, but we managed," She informed me.
"Well, I guess that's better than him being completely stubborn," I started, "Oh, you'll never guess who are friends now."
"Who?" Mom asked, clearly not in the mood to play the guessing game.
"Kelsey and Hailey. To make matter worse they were literally placing bets on if Jess was pregnant or I was already pregnant again."
Mom sighed, "Their lives must just be so sad."
"It's just so frustrating, not to mention the fact that Hailey was trying to claim Jameson at lunch."
Mom laughed, "Let me guess, Arden put her in her place real quick."
"Of course, Mama," I laughed.
"Well, I have to get ready for work, so I'll leave you be, let me know if you need anything, alright?"
"I will Mom, thank you so much for watching Noah," I thanked her.
"Anytime baby," She smiled before heading upstairs.
I smiled before glancing back down at Noah, "You're so lucky you get to avoid all the drama baby boy. I wish I could just hang out with you all day."
