I kept thinking about what I did to Diamond. I didn't mean to hit her but something came over me. I was sitting down listening to my mother yell at me. "Boy I should beat your ass" she said hitting me upside the head. "Ow ma" I said rubbing the place she hit me. "I want you to go over and apologize to her" she said crossing her arms over her chest. "Mom she probably doesn't wanna see me right now" I said truthfully. "Well give her a few more days or maybe even a week, and then go and talk to her" she said sitting down. "Alright, I guess I can do that" I said getting up. "Where are you going" my mom asked. "Going to meet up with Jay" I said slipping my shoes on. "Another whore" she said acting disgusted. "Whatever" I said walking out the door to my car. I got inside the car and drove off towards the park.
I pulled up to the state park and saw Jay. I smiled and got out of the car. "Hey you" she said hugging me tight. I took in her perfume and pulled away. "Wassup" I said admiring her outfit. "How are you and your girl" she said sitting down. I honestly hated when she asked about me and Diamond. "Oh we're fine" I said lying. "Oh well then that's great" she said smiling. We continued to talk. Every time I have a conversation with her. I realize why I like her so much.

With everything that was going on. I decided to call off the trip. I unwrapped August's arms from around me making him shuffle a little in his sleep. "Good morning ma" he said with his eyes closed. "Good morning Aug" I said getting up from the bed. "What's going on with you and Caraine" he asked sitting up. "Nothing" I said with a small laugh. "Then why did you slap him" he asked raising his eyebrows. "He was being dumb" I said
"So you slapped him" he asked. "Yes" I said laughing. I looked over at my phone and saw it was ringing. I read the caller I.D. And saw Caraine calling. I threw my phone back down and sat on the edge of the bed. "You sure your alright" August asked again. I laughed, "Yes I'm fine" "Alright, when are we going to get Omarion" he asked. "Now"
"Alright" he said going into the bathroom. My phone started ringing again, I looked and it was Caraine. He never calls twice, so this must be important. I slid the bar over answering.
DIAMOND: what do you need
CARAINE: ok, Um this pertains to Omarion
DIAMOND: what happened to my baby
CARAINE: he went out back to play and somebody did a drive by and he got hit.
DIAMOND: omg, what hospital
CARAINE: Regions Capital
I hung up and threw my phone on the bed. I slid down the wall and cried. I heard the door open to the bathroom and I looked up at August. "What happened" he asked
"Someone shot Mari" I said crying all over again. "What who" he asked as his chest started to heave up and down. "I don't know, how could this happen, I just saw him yesterday" I said crying into August's chest. "Let me get dressed and we'll leave" I nodded my head and slid on some clothes along with my Jordan slides. My hands were shaking and all I could do was pray that my baby would be alright. Lord please.
"Come on" August said grabbing my hand as we walked to the car. Paparazzi was all outside the house, I guess they heard what happened. I held my head down and August opened the car door for me letting me get in. He ran to the drivers side and got in pulling off.

"Where the hell is my child" I screamed at Caraine, he had tears streaming down his face. "Calm down Diamond, he's in room 514" I stormed up to the service desk and got my guest sticker. August trailed behind me. I pressed the elevator button and the elevator still hadn't came yet. "Come on, come on" I screamed at the elevator. "Damn ma, don't break it" August said removing my hand from the button. I cried on his chest.
The elevator finally opened and I jumped in pressing the number 5. The doors closed and the elevator went up. As soon as the doors opened I hopped off and walked down the hallway. I saw Carter and Maurice standing at the door looking down.
"Is he alright" I asked them. "He's not doing good D, the bullet is about 1 centimeter away from his heart" he said. "My baby" I screamed punching a hole in the wall. "Calm down D" August said holding me back. "Get off of me" I screamed pushing him off. I pushed the room doors open and immediately broke down. He looked so helpless.
"Omarion Anthony Reed, please wake up" I said looking at his small body. The door opened and a few doctors came in. "Mrs. Reed" the doctor asked. "Yes" I spoke wiping the tears from my eyes. "We're sorry to say, but Omarion only has about 2 days to live" she said rubbing my back. "Thanks doc, will he wake up" I asked. "No, but he can hear you" she said smiling trying to lighten the mood. "You alright" August spoke walking into the room. I shook my head no and laid my head on his chest.
"August can you go get Caraine, me and him need to talk" I said. "Yea, I'll be right back" he said leaving me there. I rubbed my hand on top of his and smiled as the tears ran down my face. "I'm going to stay strong for you baby boy, because you were strong for mama" I said crying harder. "Diamond" I heard Caraine say softly. "Come in" I said motioning for him to come over to me. "He's not gonna make it is he" he asked. "Unfortunately not" I said as I watched Caraine explode. He started punching multiple holes in the wall" "please calm down C" I said trying to hold him. "No" he screamed.
"That was my son" he said breaking down in my chest. "We'll get through this" I said crying along with him. After getting Caraine calmed down. I walked back into the waiting room and slumped down in my seat. August came over and out his arms around me.
"You alright" he asked. I didn't respond I just let the tears flow from my eyes. I saw my mom walking into the door and I ran to her crying. "It's ok baby" she said rubbing my back. "I can't believe my baby is gone" I said crying. I went to see him again and then Me and August went home. Caraine decided to stay at the hospital. I couldn't bare it.
"You ok ma" August asked me. I just continued to look out the window. I heard him sigh while he placed his hand on my thigh rubbing it. I cried harder as we drove down the busy road. We finally pulled into the yard and I got out dragging my feet as I walked. August opened the door and I walked in. I went straight up the stairs stripped out my clothes and laid down. I heard August come into the room and I turned on my side.
"Ma speak to me" he said laying beside me. "What do you wanna hear" I said softly still not facing him. "Tell me you won't do anything stupid" he said rubbing my back. "I'll try" I said truthfully. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I turned to face him burying my face into his chest crying. I was so weak I didn't know what to do. I just slowly cried myself to sleep. Lord help my baby.
