The Next Alpha

SARA POV

“Sara hurry up.” I hear my mom from down stairs of our new home. We just moved to this new town last week. Well I’m not sure if its much of a town. I just see a bunch of trees. Which isn’t a bad thing since it gives my wolf some freedom to run.

Well maybe I should being by telling that I am a werewolf. My whole family is. My mom, dad and my older sister Liz. We moved to this town to join the pack that lives here.

Eclipse, the largest and most powerful pack, asked my dad to be their pack doctor. Of course my dad couldn’t just say no. so my family moved here leaving our old pack in the past.

“Sara breakfast is done!” I hear my mom yell again. I finally got out of bed and got dressed and went to the bathroom. I put some make up and fixed my hair. Before walking out of the bathroom I looked at the mirror.

I have long black hair with grey eyes nothing special.  I looked down at my clothes just a plain white t-shirt and jeans. I know this isn’t what you would wear on your first day at a new school but making new friends isn’t really my thing.

I walked out of the bathroom grabbed a sweater and went down stairs. I walked to the kitchen to my mom, dad, my sister Liz and her mate Jake. Mate is short for soul mate. You know your other half, the one for you. Mates is everything to wolf without our other half we are never completely ourselves. As my mom and dad says. I wouldn’t know since I haven’t found mine yet.

Anyway Jake had to move with us since being away from your mate hurts our wolfs. I asked my mom once what the pain felt like and she told me it felt like you had someone smashing your insides. So Jake got to join the new pack with us. Which I feel like is a great thing. Jake and Liz have been together for as long as I remember. Jake had always been the brother I never had.

I sat down at the table and started eating my breakfast blocking out my family’s conversation. “you ready?” asked Liz after we were done. “yeah” I said getting up and putting my dish in the sink. We got our bags and said a quick goodbye before heading to the car.

With Jake driving, Liz in the seat next to him and me in the back we headed to school.

ZACK POV

I slammed my alarm off and rolled over to go back to sleep. I quickly felt a  hot breath breathing on my face. I opened my eyes to see eyes looking back at me. I yelled and hit whoever was in my face. 

“ow” I hear as the person falls off my bed.

“what the hell Zack?” yelled my best friend Craig. He got up and sat on the bed holding his noise.

“next time don’t get in my face.” I said laying back down.

“whatever get up we got school.” He said making sure his noise wasn’t broken.

I slowly got up and started getting dressed. I might well go to school it’s a hell of lot better then being here with my father who will just complain about how I haven’t found my mate yet.

Maybe I should explain a few things. First I should explain my twin brother, Luke, the golden boy. My father is Jared walker he is the alpha of the most powerful pack, eclipse. Luke and I are next in line for the title but only one can be alpha. The first one to find his mate. Everyone thinks that Luke will be alpha cause he already says that he has found his mate, His very bitchy girlfriend amber, But the elders have to agree that amber is his true mate so he can become alpha. The elders will do a ceremony to prove that she is his true mate. Not ever wolf pair have to go through this. Just us soon to be alphas to prove that we have our right Luna. The ceremony will be held after we graduate at the end of the year. So at the end of the school year Luke will be alpha and I will be free to travel the world as I wish.
