I was walking home from getting food, but once again, no luck. The rain was coming down as if I already didn't feel depressed. It was pelting my face and I felt that I was going to get bruises afterwards. That's always my luck though. One moment my life is complete, then it just goes down the toilet.

I keep my face down, but it doesn't help. As if right on cue, a car passes by and splashes water on me.

"Seriously?" I scream at the car and shake off the water. This is just great.

I heard the car screech to a stop, as well as my heart. I looked up at the car, seeing it turn around. Shit. I stared at it, pausing to see if it was really turning around; it was.

I don't think twice and run as fast as I can towards home. I wasn't taking any chances on facing up to them, or let alone take me. There's been rumors around saying that mystery cars would come up to anyone alone on the street and offer you a ride. If you said no, they'd get out and shove you in the back. I will definetly not, be shoved in the back. They can go to hell.

I can only hear my heart pounding in my ears, so I glanced back to see the car-- it was right next to me. My mind was screaming all sorts of things and started panicking. My eyes were tearing up from the rain falling into them. They were still gaining on me. I didn't know what to expect when I eventually couldn't run any longer.

I decided to go through a short cut, thinking maybe they wouldn't dare drive through an alley, so I turned right. And of course, the car followed. Adrenaline flushed over me until I lost my footing and I slipped right onto my back. Pain shot all over my body, so I just laid there. This is it. My life is over.

The cars headlights engulfed my whole while I was still froze onto the wet pavement. I closed my eyes, thinking of every possibility I had of getting out of here. I couldn't move and yet I'm here trying to move. Smart Me.

When I opened my eyes there was a garbage bin flying towards the car. I tried to move, but my body wasn't responding yet. My clothes were all wet, sticking to my skin undeniably cold.

"Kid, save yourself some time by joining us. Is this what you really want?" said a voice from behind.

I wasn't going to just lay here and do nothing. I needed to get up and run. I moved my legs an inch when they finally responded into more of a flinch.

"You're making a mistake, Eremiel," came another voice near my feet.

"No. You just don't understand. You're too wedged into your head you can't seem to see the real world," said the Eremiel guy.

Before they could react, I jumped up, kicked the Eremiel guy where it hurts the most, and grabbed my pocket knife, running towards the other one. He looked surprised and didn't move. Tightening my grip on the knife, it gracefully slid through his body. By the time I pulled it out, I was trembling. He looked at me with pity, but still did nothing. He grabbed at his wound and hunched over, like it didn't even hurt. His eyes were filled with something like amusment, when I feel an arm wrap around my neck.

I dropped my knife as I'm trying to pry the arm away from me. I knew I could instantly faint from the lack of air or die, but I am certainly not leaving this way. I wrapped my leg around his and slammed down on the cement, making sure his knee touched the ground first. He hissed at me, letting me go. I qucikly got up, but he grabbed my ankle, falling down into this track runner position. My leg kicked his face before I had time to react. He let go and held his face. Quickly as I could, I got up. I felt the other guy staring at me, looking up, I see that he was. His eyes flashed an emotion that I couldn't understand.

By the time I reached my house, I was sore and cold. The rain stopped which made it a cool wet night. I walked inside, welcomed my the aroma of cigarettes. My nose clearly feels like exploding, then my eyes water like hell.
