"Nairaaaaa...." Kartik woke up with a jerk. Tears marks were clearly visible on his face. Days passed his naira, his life, his Sherni left this world but still he wasn't able to believe the truth.

He opened the drawer of his side table and took out a photo frame with her picture and hold it close to his heart trying to find some solace.

"Naira why you left me? Why? For doing such a small mistake you gave such a big punishment? Why Naira Why? Please come back to me... Please" He said with fresh tears forming in his eyes.

"Papa don't cry. Mumma hasn't gone anywhere. She is with us and if you will cry like this she will also cry na. Please don't cry." He said genuinely trying to pacify his father but his heart has himself lost its way.

I am sorry Papa. If that day I didn't.... Mumma would be with us today and we would be having a happy family but because of me... No, I know My Mumma is Sherni. She can't die. She is alive and will come back to us.

He said shouting on the servant and trying not to broke down.
