Mallory groaned at the insistent wail of the stupid baby. Just shut up! She tried rocking it back and forth but that thing wouldn't stop crying. Finally, with frustration, she yelled at it. It finally stopped, its lip quivering but silent.
"What should I call, you?"
Mallory stared at the blue onesie and noticed a small bracelet on the baby's hand. Jace. It read, so it was a boy. Oh boy. Mallory put the baby on some leafy foliage for the night, and she transformed into a raven, then perched on a branch nearby. She yawned, then fell asleep,
He was a nice guy, and he was the only one who'd talked to her all day. He had dark hair and a bright smile.
"Mallory, that's a cool name."
Mallory smiled shyly.
"Uh, thanks. Do you want to go to the playground?"
He nodded enthusiastically and they ran to the playground. Nearby, a nasty girl named Kelly laughed.
"Look! There's the new crazy girl! She so uggy ugly!"
Her loyal minions joined in, their high pitched giggles hurting Mallory's ears. Tears sparkled in her eyes and she backed off.
"Yah crazy girl! Go away, we don't want you on the playground!"
Jeered Rebecca, Kelly's sister. The little bullies ran over and started chucking wood chips at Mallory's face. Rebecca laughed as she kicked mud, ruining Mallory's new shirt.
He walked over and pulled one of Kelly's pigtails, hard.
"Stop being mean, she's just a new kid."
"Meanie!"
Snapped Kelly, and she and her minions all stormed away. Mallory smiled, no one had ever stood up for her.
"Thanks."
She mumbled. He shrugged.
"I'm just being nice."
Mallory shot up, sweating. It was a dream about him again. Her friend who had died in the car crash. If he was still alive, would he accept the monster she's become? Probably not, but who cares, I became heartless long ago.
Suddenly the screechy baby Jace started crying again. Oh shut up...
"You're probably crying because nobody cares about you."
Smirked Mallory.
"Everyone hates you."
The baby wailed louder. Dammit, I forgot he eats food. Mallory flew off and caught a sleeping rat, killing it and presenting it to the baby. Jace stared and sniffed, Mallory stuffed the meat into his tiny mouth.
Blood dribbled down the corner of his chin, but he seemed to like it. Mallory heaved a sigh of relief as little Jace shut up his mouth. Finally, he seemed content and fell back asleep. She decided that he might not be as bad as she thought he'd be.

The next morning, Mallory wondered how she'll take Jace and fly at the same time? She decided to clutch him by the back of his onesie with her talons. Great idea.
They flew for some time, before reaching the girl's city--what was her name? Oh ya, Willow. Mallory couldn't wait to watch the annoying girl bleed, but first, Mallory decided to annihilate her, just for fun. Her paranormal magic would help her greatly. But Mallory already had something was that already fooling Willow into trouble.
