"She stole my gun, Christa!" My dad yells from outside my door. Shaking my head I continue to throw mass amounts of clothes into my 'Pink' suitcase.
"But, we can't send her away for the whole summer, Marc." My mother shouts back, I can tell by her raspy voice that she's crying. I almost feel bad for this whole mess, almost.
My father had neglected to tell me that instead of going away for a week until the whole mess simmers down, I was staying for the whole summer. He is overreacting, it was a damn handgun. Big whoop.
Picking up my piece of shit phone I dialed Alli's number to break the news to her. Immediately agreed she was coming along, whether I liked it or not.
"How are we going to pull that off?" I ask her as I throw a pair of flip-flops into my bag. My philosophy on packing is you should throw random shit in the bag until it looks good enough, I was half way there.
"You know my dad doesn't give a shit, so i'll just ride my bike up!" Giggling I flipped on my Ipod so my dad wouldn't hear our conversation.
"It won't be that easy." I say frowning.
"I know" She says with her signature pout voice. I feel a warm salty tear stream down my face, I try to stop them but they continued pouring out.
"I'll come down there I promise, I won't leave you alone all summer." I was slighly comforted by this but not much. Knowing my dad he would see fit that she had no way of getting there and staying with me.
"When do you leave?" She asks bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Tomorrow at six"
"See you then" The phone clicked and the line went dead. I couldn't help but smile at her persistence, he is going to have some trouble with this one.
Flopping back on my bed I embrace sleep with open arms after all today had been an eventful day.

"Get up" Marc ordered shaking my shoulders violently. This reminded me of a time in third grade when a teacher shook me repeatedly yelling "Get the demon out of this child" What did my third grade self do? I farted right in front of the whole class. I still blush every time I think about it.
"Bailey, get up!" He roared over my thoughts.
"What is your problem?" I shout back just as loud. What do I have to lose? He's sending me away either way.
"You will not talk to me like that, grab your things and lets go!" With that he storms out of my room and marches into the kitchen.
"Someone can't let go" I mutter to my self while grabbing all of my things and walking them out to the car. The summer air washed over my body causing me to shiver. Summer has always been my favorite season, there is nothing like it. I saunter over to the back seat of his cruiser and throw my things in roughly, just as I shut the door I hear her bike grunt from the stop sign.
"Nice shorts" She giggles pointing to my Winnie the Pooh boxer shorts.
"Shut-up your just jealous you can't have them." I laugh with her, a comfortable silence filling the space.
"I'm going to miss you" She says after a moment.
"You too." i say shifting back and forth on my feet awkwardly. I have never been one to show my emotions.
