When it comes down to having a favourite NHL team , we all can easily give an answer. Ours is the Calgary Flames. A team filled with great young stars which leads to great commitment and dedication. A team who never gives up, coming from being a great third period team. The Flames have great defense with Giordano #5 (captain) leading all defensmen with 44 points. Kris Russel is also a great D man because he leads the leauge in blocked shots. Goaltending has been a huge reason the Flames have climbed the standings this year with adding goaltender Jonas Hiller #1 (former Duck) to the team. Calgary's offense has been pretty electrifying considering their red-hot rookie Johnny Gaudreau #13 who is second place among rookies in scoring. Sean Monahan #23 leads the Flames with 19 goals this season. The Flames have acheived success with the help of their bench coach Bob Hartley. That is why we are fans of the Calgary Flames!
