No story is perfect especially when dealing with, new writers, young ones, inexperienced, or even stupid ones. A story can go through a lot of mix ups and changes until it's perfect and everyone, even the writer is satisfied. But, what makes a good story, the thrill, the crazy, the romantic, the hope? What exactly keeps you on the edge of your seat anticipating to turn that next page and not just sit it on your beside table and leave it there until you're bored or have a book report due and you need something. What ties you into the story, what's your hook? Is it because the main character is relatable, you feel yourself inside them, you want your life to be like there's or you feel bad and want to see if there's a happy ending? What makes a story something you want to read? What makes a story perfect? Why are we just reading imperfect stories with pointless meanings and seeming like there's not end, what's the point of these stories? To tell a story......
"Why would you want to tell such a story?" My professor, Mr. J asked.
"I think it's a story that everyone would want to hear, I mean, it's a good one."
"But is it interesting enough Kay?"
I hung my head down because I gave this big presentation about a simple story and was shot down by the teacher and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get a good grade on it.
Class was dismissed and everybody started to file out the room and the teacher called me to his desk.
"Yes Mr. J," I questioned.
"I have one major question for you. Your life, I know there's something in there that you can write a way better story in there about, why not write that?"
"Trust me, there is so much in my life that went down, the world isn't ready for that."
"Why isn't it?"
"My story, my story is a bunch of trouble drama and bullshit and the fact that I'm still here standing, is a plus."
"Write about it Kay! Let everybody hear your story about the girl who went from something to nothing."
