It was just another ordinary day in my not so ordinary life where I, again, encountered my worst nemesis- boredom. I sighed exhasperatedly as I jumped down from the oak tree where I sat. Merielle Has become a place that couldn't entertain me after years of being around here. Big ass trees, small trees, big ass houses and cute looking creatures that are so cute to the point that could make you melt - literally.
I'm confident that I can remeber even the slightest details inside Mereille's perimeter. If I wanted, I could be a tour guide for this place. But I had better things to do other than guiding people.
Like eating for example. No?Then try not to eat, I bet you'll starve to death first before you could even guide tourists.
I suddenly felt something hard hitting the back of my head. ❝Oww..❞ I groaned.
I rubbed my head as I turned back to see the person who's death wish I'm about to grant.
It was Zieon. Looking pretty as always. She was wearing a protective gear and her swords were strapped behind her back. What really caught my attention was the satchel she brought.
Aight. Scratch what I said earlier. Zieon's looking definitely gorgeous as hell.
❝Are you gonna travel somewhere?❞ I asked with anticipation, my mood immediately changing after seeing the satchel. ❝Take me w-❞
She cut me off mercilessly, ❝Not after I saw you Jumping down that tree. You still haven't learn your lesson, have you?❞
And there she goes again. Blabbing about stuff how someone young like me shouldn't do "dangerous" stunts like that. I'm an 18 year old - and a druid at that - who's able to take good care of himself. What bad thing can happen?
❝Your're 19 and you're already allowed to travel..tell me which part of that isn't dangerous..❞ I muttered, crossing my arms over my chest. I wasn't able to accompany most of my friends when they're gonna travel since Adan, my guardian, forbids me to do so. Its like he sees me as a big baby, just like Zieon.
So to prove that I was competent enough, I would always secretly observe him training his disciples and ask the other druids to train me. But when I showed him what I was capable of, I was grounded for a month.
❝Sol..❞ I heard her chuckle then I felt her pat my head. ❝You have to obey me. You know it's what's better for you right?❞ I nodded, still sulking. Adan would always deprive me on doing nearly everything that he should be allowing me to do. I wasn't able to go to school, travel from home nor get trained by him. It was all unfair. And not telling me the reason why he does so only pushes me to disobey him more.
Zieon is lucky. She has the freedom to do whatever she wants despite the fact that Adan is her father which perplexed me. I would ask her stuff about what the world is like outside Mereille, and every detail she tells me only fueled my will to get out of Mereille.
Her words depicted that the outside world was nothing compared to what I would expect it to be for it was Breathtakingly beautiful. It was full of wonders that can't be found in Mereille.
❝Thought so. I'll be back on the day after tomorrow. See ya!❞She smiled and walked away, giving me a wave. ❝Mhmm, take care.❞ I absent-mindedly waved back.
I decided to head back to our House. It wasn't that far from here. I only had to walk for a bit of time before I could reach there. On my way, I encountered a few creatures whom I cheerfully greeted. They were minding their own businesses, doing their daily routines. Mereille is a big place, but its inhabitats only reached a few hundreds. Its also far from Eloan, the city where the gods and other formidable beings in existence reside. Mereille is the perfect place for beings who seek for a safe haven.
