-Third Person POV:

Mrs. Julie was staring at the hybrids while holding papers. Ranboo avoided her gaze, he hated eye contact. The more someone stared into the ender hybrids multicolored eyes, it just made him more and more agitated.

"*Clears throat* I-I-..I finished the papers Mr. Minecraft. You can sign them right now if you want to.." Mrs. Julie held out the pen and papers. Ranboo's eyes widened, he looked over at Phil who had a reassuring smile on his face. The said ender hybrid made a quiet confused endermen chirp. Philza only laughed and put hand on Ranboo's shoulder as a way to comfort him.

"Yes, I'm adopting you Ranboo. And don't worry about coming back here to this hellhole." Philza stood up, spreading his wings almost to their full length.

"I'm not like the other people I promise. I won't hurt you, or let anyone else hurt you." Philza said in a soft voice. Ranboo stood there in shock.

Did Phil really mean it?

Was Phil not going to hurt him?

Should Ranboo should give him a chance?...

-Time skip to where Ranboo is almost done packing

Ranboo was finishing packing up his things. Which wasn't taking a lot of time, since Ranboo didn't have many things. He only had some clothes, a pair of grey shoes, and some colored pens and markers someone got him for his birthday a while back. Ranboo doesn't remember who the person was, but he knew that they got adopted not to long after his birthday. He most likely wrote them down in his memory book, but his memory book was ruined so there was no way for him to remember the person.

They were also a year older than Ranboo. He can't remember their face or anything, not even the color of their hair. Or the color of their eyes. Or anything that could give Ranboo a hint of who the person was.

Ranboo quickly shook off the thoughts. After stuffing his pens and markers in his torn backpack, he quickly put his miss match socks and grey shoes on and walked out of his small room. Ranboo stopped and decided to look back, almost as a way of saying farewell. Ranboo had a different feeling about Philza. He didn't know how to explain it. The way Phil said things, the small and comforting gestures.

Maybe Philza was different from the others. The others who hurt Ranboo. Who made Ranboo not be able to trust anyone, not even himself. The people who made Ranboo not want to be alive any more. To not exist.

Ranboo wasn't certain if Philza was different. It's happened before. The foster parents were nice at first but then their personality switched completely after a while. They turned on Ranboo. They hurt him, like all the others had before.

Ranboo snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a door slam. Most likely from one of the other kids. Ranboo shook his head and headed toward the exit, he'd either see Philza or Mrs. Julie. (Ranboo was secretly hoping he would see Phil.) He jogged down the stairs again, almost falling over from the younger kids running up the stairs. Ranboo just ignored them. He was hoping this'd be the last time he would have to see them. Ranboo let out a heavy sigh as he was getting closer to the door.

His eyes slightly lit up when he saw Phil waiting there, doing something on his phone. Ranboo saw Phil chuckle softly, maybe he was texting one of his sons. Maybe Wilbur? Tommy? Technoblade? Ranboo couldn't decide.

Ranboo was about to walk over to Phil, but he couldn't. He was frozen. He couldn't move his feet. They were stuck. Was he nervous? Afraid? He didn't know. Sweat was dripping down his face. But it wasn't hot, was it cold sweat?

Philza noticed Ranboo, he stuffed his phone in his pocket and walked over the him.

"Hey Ranboo mate," Philza saw Ranboo jumped slightly. Philza smiled softly and put his hand on Ranboo's shoulder. He felt Ranboo tense up again.
