Days passed by painfully slow at Malfoy Manor. It was the same thing everyday for Daisy.

Go the library, read in her windowsill, swim in the pool, wander around the manor. It was these three tasks everyday.

Daisy often found Mattheo wandering in the library when she was reading, he would sometimes make small talk with her. It wouldn't last long because he would say something rude or dickish, then walk out right after.

It always left her puzzled, not knowing what she had said or did to make his attitude do a complete one-eighty. But what she didn't know is that Mattheo was beginning to enjoy the small talks with her. Yeah sure, he hated how shy and sweet she still was, the girl never raising her voice.

It annoyed him, but he also found it somewhat interesting. It was him that became the problem. He would snap and change his behavior because he needed to remind himself.

He needed to remind his thoughts that she wasn't worth his time. She wasn't the type of girl he wanted to associate himself with much more than he has to.

Yet he found himself back in the library more and more often to talk with her. It always ended the same way. Him leaving angrily.  When he would see her, he took in how the small sun-kissed freckles lined across her nose, spreading on her cheeks. Or how plump and soft her lips looked.

He didn't know why he was so intrigued by Daisy. She wasn't anyone special. He wasn't capable of loving someone. He wasn't capable of knowing what it feels like for someone to look at him the way his father looks at his mother.

The last girl he got himself involved with was the reason why. She was the reason he couldn't feel anything. Thanks to her, leaving him in bed completely bare and heartbroken.

His father and mother had helped him feel nothing. Show nothing. To Mattheo, emotions didn't exist. Nothing but anger and annoyance existed for him. That was his choice.

It was now a windy Thursday afternoon, Mattheo was getting fitted into the suit for him and Daisy's relationship release to the prophet. His father and Lucius explaining what to do and how to be with Daisy.

Daisy was in her room, Narcissa and Anastasia helping her make last minute adjustments, giving her instructions on what to do and how to act. The pair were both dreading this public announcement.

She wore a snug black dress with long sleeves, stopping just above mid-thigh. Narcissa made the girl wear emerald colored heels, her daughter's hair was pin straight.

"Now darling, please repeat what we told you." Anastasia says, Daisy nodding as she rubbed her lips together to spread her lipstick on her lips.

Then Daisy spoke. "If they ask how we met, we explain how you met Anastasia at the Quidditch cup the year prior. We instantly took a liking to each other, and we have been together since last Christmas. If they ask why we decided to publicly announce now, we say the time is right for his father's rising in the wizard world." Daisy says slowly, her tone remaining the same with each word that left her mouth.

Anastasia nods with a satisfied look on her face. "And if they ask about Tom in anyway?" She trails off.

Daisy nods. "I smile nicely and say that's not why they're here." She answers and Anastasia claps her hands together proudly.

"Ah magnificent! Lucius and Tom will be here with Mattheo any moment. You two are gonna take the last few moments to prepare your conversations. That way you two do not mess this up for any of us." She explains and Daisy nods again slowly.

This was not gonna be fun.

At all.

The girls heard a knock on the door before entering, revealing the three men. "They will be here shortly, so we must leave my darling," Anastasia says as she made her way to Tom, pressing a chaste kiss onto his lips.
