It's been a while for me to kind of understand what I truly understand about my religion and what I believe.. When I was younger my mother and father taught me some verses from the Quran ( Islams' holy book ), some sayings from what our prophet Mohammed ( peace be upon him ) said, the Islamic manners, what's a sin and how to prevent myself from doing that sin.. so basically I was raised as a muslim. As we grow older a bit, it's completely natural for you to over think things, like your religion. So when you are raised and taught that Allah (God) is everywhere but can't see him, the things you hear about judgment day and paradise... it's pretty normal for your imagination to run wild, so that's what happened to me, my thoughts and imagination went crazy, I thought things that made me second guess religion, I imagined things that made me happy or sad, I realized that too much religion is not good, and no religion in your life is difficult and confusing. Once someone hears "Islam" they think about all the bombing that happened and ISIS, 9/11 and what happened in Paris etc. I just wanted to say that not because a few bad apples on the tree makes the tree apple bad. Meaning not because of a few muslims that think they're doing something right represents Islam, their acts don't represent our religion at all. Why is it that when some white kid shoots the school down we don't say "christianity did this" but say "he was a troubled boy.." that's when media takes place in this mess. Media plays a big role in introducing our religion and the muslim people.
