There were games flashing, and the sound of laughter filled the air. The perfect setting for a perfect night.
I still couldn't help but notice why they picked us. There were hundreds of people here, and us? A little shady if you asked me. It seemed as if it was too good to be true. Well I might as well enjoy it while it lasted.
We were all hand in hand walking towards the movie theatre part of the building. We all decided that would be the best decision. Although I was kind of weirded out yet still flattered when some stranger and his brother started flirting with my friend and I but it turned to be okay. Once we all started warming up to each other and talking, we found we had some things in common.
As we walked up to the ticket booth, Beau whispered something that neither Emily or I heard into Luke's ear. We assumed it was good though assuming by the huge grin that spread across Luke's face afterwards. We got our tickets and headed towards the concession counter.
"Are you hungry? Do you wany anything to eat or drink?" Beau asked me.
"Um, a medium sprite would be nice. Thanks!" I replied with a grin.
We all got our food and found our seats near the back of the theatre. Emily, Luke, skip a seat, Beau, then me. The movie trailers then started rolling. Beau nudged me.
"Popcorn?" He asked with his mouth full.
"No I'm fine, thanks though." I giggled.
"I'm really happy I met you tonight. It's been pretty fun." He whispered into my ear reaching for my hand and intertwining his fingers into mine.
"Couldn't have said it better myself." I grinned like an idiot and squeezed his hand. After he let go of my hand, he lifted the arm rest between us and scooted over. He fell into the gap between the two seats and whispered really loud, "SHIT!" The people behind starting shhing us. We started giggling as I helped him up. He then pulled me closer so my head was on his chest. I pulled my knees up to my chest and he wrapped his arms around me. Luke was holding Emily's hand and they were whispering and laughing.
The movie was a bit of a blur. I kept dozing off. It was about some guy who ran away with some girl for a better life, or something corny like that. It was all pretty good though. Beau was really warm and comfortable, which is why it was so easy to fall asleep.
"Well that movie sucked!" Luke announced. We all laughed and agreed.
"Way too predictable!" Emily commented.
"You've got that right!" Luke agreed. "So, what do we do now?"
"Well it's almost eleven fifteen. Do you girls have to be home soon?" Beau asked with twinkling eyes.
"Yeah, we have to be back at my house by 11:45. I'll call my mom and let her know." I said.
"Oh, well if you want us to we can drop you off. If that would be easier that is." Beau stuttered out.
"I'd like that. You okay with that Em?" I asked.
"Sounds okay to me!" She replied cheerfully.
"Well we should get a move on then!" Beau said, grabbing my hand.
We got to the parking lot where his car was. Emily and Luke sat in the back, while Beau and I sat up front. I gave him my address so he could put it in his GPS, and we were off.
About ten minutes later we were at my house. I got my purse and jacket and got out of the car like everyone else. Beau and Luke walked us up to the door.
"I had a lot of fun with you tonight, Hannah. I hope we get to hang out again soon." Beau said grinning at his shoes, with his hands in his pockets.
"Me too! You should call me sometime so we can. That would be awesome!" I smiled.
His gorgeous eyes then met mine, as did his smile. I gave him my phone and he gave me his so we could give each other our numbers. We then traded back.
"Well, I'll see you soon. " He gave me a hug with a gentle kiss on the cheek.
"Alright. See you later." My stomach was in knots. He was so sweet. We waved at the boys as they drove away and then made our way back towards the house. Emily and I both looked at each other. We were smiling ear to ear.
"He kissed me on the cheek! He was so sweet!" Emily shrieked.
"Me too!" I squeled as we gushed over our night. We went into the house and watched movies until we fell asleep. This night was perfect.
