chapter 6: Im sorry

-third pov-
- A week had passed after the incident and Jake had instructed her how she had to bring yoongi to the place he addressed and then had to kill him there.
- Jake was now confident that y/n was with him and he had discarded all the cameras that she was surrounded by. Fine, not all of them. The cameras in her house were still activated as he still didn't trust y/n completely.
- y/n was unaware of being surrounded by these cameras as she never thought of being watched in her own house.
- she had switched roles with yoongi and had to keep an eye on Jake whilst yoongi will be looking out for Mina. It would just be easier for her to communicate to Jake that way.
- it was today's evening when y/n had to bring yoongi to that place and she was making herself ready for it.

-"kill me there? that guy really believed you were with him? and I thought he was smart" yoongi mokingly scoffed after y/n explained Jake's plan in detail to yoongi and joined him in making fun of the guy.
- After mocking him and laughing together for a while, they decided to prepare for their solid come back, or at least thats what yoongi thought.
- getting into their very own special 'mission outfit' and getting their special pieces of equipment, they decided to
foot it to the place they should be.
- they knew it won't be as easy to get in as he must've set a lot of difficulties and not to mention how he didn't tell y/n about it. All he had said was— “be careful while going inside”
- that statement was enough for both of them to understand that he was surely upto something.
- he had given the address and when they arrived they thought they were lost for a moment. It was no different than a forest and they were confused about where to go.
- From Jake's point of view, y/n had told yoongi that she heard him talk about this place and so they followed him here. This was just a trap for yoongi to be out of this plan so it would get easier for Jake to complete his mission.
- y/n pondered for a while as she looked around, trying to figure out if she had come to the wrong place. Her eagle sight caught a camera peeking through a tree and she tried to act calm as if she hadn't seen it.
- she cleared her throat to gain the attention of her partner and she was successful.
-"we're at the right place, I spotted a camera hiding in the leaves, can't tell if someones holding it or it's attached. Be careful, there can be sudden attacks" she whispered, still looking around not wanting to warn anyone who was keeping an eye on them.
- He got her signal and alerted himself quickly. They moved farther into the forest carefully, and finally spotted a den.
- y/n's eyes fixated on the den, with a frown decorating her face and the blonde haired beside her seemed to have the same thoughts as she did.
- After all, it isn't very usual to find a den built somewhere in the middle of the forest. Deciding to go and check the inside of it they jogged inside the den and weren't wrong. They were at the right place.
- they assured it the moment they spotted cameras surrounding the place. It's walls were stoney as the long and sleek LEDs lit up the hall way, giving it a bright grey look. They moved further ahead as yoongi got confused by each passing second.
- "wait, do you think he'll make it that easy knowing that we're coming here? there's literally no security" he whispered, making y/n stop at her place. "right- but I can't see much" y/n's lips twitched in the thought of what could he possibly put here.
- They decided to check around a little but found nothing much convincing. Frustrated, y/n kicked a stone present near her feet, aggressive enough for it to roll a good five meters away and that seemed to save their lives.
- "did you see that?" y/n's eyes looked at that stone, wide and unblinking. They both just witnessed the stone turn to ashes in front of them. It was an invisible laser shield. To confirm it, they neared the place and remembered to keep their
distance so they dont harm themselves.
- y/n kicked the ground making the dust particles fly up as the laser shield came in the view once again, but just for some seconds and it was again normal as if there was nothing.
- they looked at each other in anticipation and yoongi said that it was all hers to handle. y/n let a mischievous grin spread across her face as she removed her favorite hacking device and the shield was deactivated in seconds.
- They did a cross-check to see if it was actually deactivated and moved ahead. After discovering that unexpected laser shield, they prowled towards the end
to find a gate and assumed their enemy to be there.
- the door was electric and it was a piece of cake for y/n to unlock. And there he sat, Jake, looking confident as ever. "I didn't think you guys would reach here, but guess luck was at your side" Jake smirked.
- "oh so, this was planned?" yoongi asked, pretending to be shocked. "you wanna play that way huh?" he added.
- yoongi smirked at y/n, knowing that it was the time to execute their plan, but little did he know he was living the last moments of his life.
- yoongi launched himself ahead, to attack Jake while y/n was preparing her gun. A lump formed in her throat before loading her gun, while Jake made himself ready to fight.
- before a punch could land on Jake's face, y/n stopped yoongi by yelling his name. "I am sorry yoongi, but it was hard to find someone to cure me" y/n spoke, sorrow and guilt filling her heart as it pumped the same into her nerves. "im sorry" she whispered before aiming 3 bullets at his heart.
- Yoongi's eyes widened as time seemed to stop for him.
- His knees weakened. Not only was he witnessing pain but betrayal too. His eyes reflected hurt as he fell on his knees and onto the ground. A pool of blood slowly appearing near him as y/n too feel on her knees.
- tears started rolling down her cheeks while Jake told his men to take yoongi's body away. He was a heartless jerk.
- it was hard for her. She knew she was selfish, but it was her heart which told her it was okay to selfish for once.
