6th Future Chapter: Helping A Sick Princess pt. 2

-Luna's POV-

As Rhys picks me up and carries me bridle style to my room I in return put my arms around his neck and bury my face into his chest whimpering a little

Rhys: "It's ok I have you Princess Luna"

Luna: "I-I know"

When we got there he sets me on my bed and puts me under the blankets and was about to leave

Luna: "Stay?"

Rhys: "If you request for me to, then I'll be pleased to give my presence Princess Luna"

Luna: "Yes"

Rhys: "Alright but first I'm going to get some of my books then I'll come back and stay"

Luna: "Ok"

he then leaves the room but it wasn't long till he returned once he did he set the books aside and sat next to me on the bed.

Rhys: "If you need anything m'lady please don't hesitate to ask"

Luna: "I won't"

He smiles and grabs one of the books then leans against the backboard of my bed with an arm behind his head starting to read

Even though I was sick I was actually curious on what he was studying since I myself along side him are students of Lady Grandma. So in response I snuggled up and put an arm over his torso

-Rhys's POV-

I was reading the spell book Lady Grandma had requested I read when I feel Luna rest against me and ask what I was reading which snapped me out of focus

Luna: "Hey whatcha readin?"

Rhys: *adjusts glasses* "A spell book Lady Grandma requested for me to read"

Luna: "Can I read along too?"

Rhys: "You should really be resting princess"

Luna: "Look I may be sick but it's not to bad yes it got worse but it's not unbearable I could still attend to my studies"

That makes me chuckle a little because I had totally forgot she was just like me in a way with her studies

Rhys: "Heh heh then sure a good student never stops studying even when sick"

Luna: "Exactly"

Rhys: "Heh still my same study partner I see"

Luna: "I always will be"

I smile from that and I let her read along with me we even took a lot of notes while reading to

Honestly I had no idea how long it's been but I assumed hours had gone by since the crack outside Luna's shut door was completely darkened so I was pretty sure the whole castle was asleep I was also pretty exhausted too

That's when I heard a little snore and saw that Luna had fallen asleep mid writing

Seeing Luna asleep like that made me chuckle a little because that totally reminded me of something.

That something was this...what we had just done tonight totally reminded me of the old times

~Flashback~

The times in when it was just her and I as 2 study partnered students under Lady Grandma studying late into the hours of night giggling and making the topic we were studying fun together

The time before we both ever became royal knights with the responsibilities and worries we have now. That was the time when I first met her and became her best friend and she became mine. That time now feels like years ago~

We had made studying fun by coming up with silly and very unique ways to remember things and we would take turns reading aloud to each other.

Each time we accidentally read a word wrong or made a silly mistake we would just joke about it, laugh about it and tease each other in a friendly silly way.

Sometimes we would laugh and crack up so hard that we would either let a snort escape, start crying, or even got the hiccups in the end

I even remember that on some nights Lady Grandma would actually have to come into the library and tell us be quiet

Me and Luna would always have so much fun together studying that it felt like no hours have ever ticked by it was then I realized I had started to fall for her~

~End of Flashback~

Good times those were and now that we're royal knights...we never get to have fun with studying like that anymore.

I sometimes wish we were never became knights in the first place because of the fun we use to have.

I honestly wish we got more times like that now

So because of what we did tonight it reminded me of the old times

I then grab the sleeping Luna and remove the notes from her then readjust the sick female knight to comfortably sleeping against me.

Once she was set I removed my glasses and set them aside to the bedside table along with the spell book and notes then killed the lights and held Luna close

I had one last thought in mind before falling asleep and that was this

"Tonight was a night to cherish until we get another chance like this again~, but for now sleep well my sweet princess I'll be here if you need me~"

After that thought I quickly fell asleep holding the sick and very injured princess tight

Alright that's just cute am right UwU

Also sorry for the short chapter I cut it short because the next one will probably be pretty long but idk

Anyways even though it was a rather short chapter at least you got to hear a little backstory on how Rhys met Luna and how they became best friends from being study partners as students under Lady Grandma. But what's even cuter is that now Rhys crushes on Luna and she crushes on him

That's all I really have to say so yeah this chapter was pretty short it was only approximately 1012 words in all by the end of it including this A/n so rather short for my writing
