Chapter 8

Chapter 8:

Emily’s POV

           

            “Emily, how are you feeling?” Nick asks me as he places a hand on my head.

            I thought about that question, how was I feeling? To be honest with myself, I felt at peace, that I didn’t have to worry about Ember anymore because she was me. Just my more protective and hot headed side.

I look up and say, “Better then I’ve felt in years.”

“What happened with Loki?” I ask once I remembered looking for the Tesseract, Loki stabbing me, and Clint. I look at both of them and ask seriously, “What happened with Loki and the Tesseract?”

Both grew serious at my question and Nick looks at Rosa, Saying, “You fill her in on everything that’s going on, I have to get back to the bridge”

 “Here, to contact you if I need to. Mr. Stark and Rosalie will also be able to contact you too. We are the only ones that have access to this earpiece.” He tells me as he hands me an earpiece, that at one look at it I knew Tony made it.

“Thank you,” I tell him, as I took the earpiece and put it into my ear. He nods then walks out of the room. It’s silent for a few seconds before I look over at Rosa.

“What’s happened?” I ask her.

She sits next to me and tells me everything that has happened since I was ‘asleep’. How Loki escaped, Natasha getting Clint back, them coming to see me, and everyone looking and finding out where Loki is.

“You said that we know where he is now, right?” I ask Rosa.

“Yes, Mr. Stark figured out where he was, along with the Tesseract. The others and Stark have gone after him.” She tells me.

“The others?” I question.

“Agent Romanoff, Agent Barton, and Captain Rogers are the others.” Rosa replies.

“Where are they going? Where is Loki?” I ask next.

“New York City,” she replies.

I’m quiet for a while, thinking about what I just heard. I remembered that Oden had wanted me to help defeat Loki and I think help Thor bring him back to Asgard. I knew then that I’d have to go and help beat him with the others and get the Tesseract back.

“Rosa, I have to go after them, I have to go help them. They’re going to need as much help as them can get.” I tell her.

With worry, she said, “Emily, you just woke up. You need to rest, I can’t lose you again.”
