I hope you find this note in the tree and smile as I tell you it was I who got mud all over Petunia's new frock, and really it was bound to happen, she was standing right next to the river trying to flirt with one of those local idiots riding their bikes at all hours. I'm sorry you were grounded on top of getting a letter from the Ministry about your accidental magic, but rest assured I know your sister deserved it. I could hear her bragging about that limited edition teacup all the way at my house at all hours, and really, who doesn't like gerbils? They look nothing like rats!

How is it Peter was the only one who could come over for his birthday this weekend? He beat me senseless at some game involving music and chairs I swear he made up. Neither of us have received a letter from you since the first week of the month and we're getting worried.

"I'm sure your friends are fine love," Euphemia tried to reassure him once more, but she'd been doing so for a fortnight. They were empty reassurances as his parents hadn't been able to get ahold of Sirius' parents anymore than he had Sirius. When Click had come back with his second unopened letter, he really thought his parents would stop thinking he was joking about a jailbreak.
