The pentagram was used in ancient times as a Christian symbol for the five senses or of the five wounds of Christ.
In the 15th-16th century occultist Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, popularized the idea that pentagram was a magic symbol, attributing to it the nonplatonic five elements fire, water, air, earth, spirit to the five points of the star.
The star with one point facing upwards is the representation of the human figure having four
limbs and the single point as the head this is also a sign of the savior.
Note: a human figure upside down naturally represents a demon.
The star with two points facing upwards represents Satan as the goat of the sabbath or the sigil of the behemoth.
