ariana's pov
minutes later...
"courtney." I croaked out. The tests fell from my hands, falling onto the marble floor as I heard footsteps come rushing towards the ensuite. I felt my throat tighten as a piercing ring set into my hearing. I put my hand to my chest, feeling my heartbeat run miles too fast while the bathroom door gently slid open. Court walked in calmly, moving to hold me up while Vic came to my other side.
"i-I'm gonna pass o-out." I gasped and Court nodded to my words softly.
"Okay sit down with me here, Vic's gonna get you some water, everything's gonna be fine okay?" I nodded while Court led me down to the ground, but it didn't feel like it was going to be fine. My breath felt none existent as I gasped searching for air. Court looked up at Vic as she filled a glass up with water, crouching down to my level to pass it into my hand. I reached up to take it from her but felt my hand shake harder than i'd ever seen it before.
"Ariana take a deep breathe in with me okay?" Vic said softly, moving the glass onto the floor while she sat down and held my hand looking me dead in the eyes.
"In.......out.....in....out." She lead my breathing until it had calmed down a bit and by then the tears in my eyes had fallen and rolled softly down my cheeks as my hand reached up to cover my mouth as I poured out a sob. I collapsed against her shoulder as she moved my further into her arms.
"Shhh it's okay." She cooed while Court reached up to take my hand away from my face, holding it tightly as she traced slow circles on my back. Vic looked up at Court before reaching behind me to grab one of the fallen tests. With the crack in the screen she could barely see the little pink plus sign, but she knew it was there. I felt her sigh against me before nodding to Court as if telling her without words, but really, they'd already known for the last 15 minutes just by my self-destruction.
I didn't know what I was feeling at this point. I couldn't define it as happy or sad. All I knew was the worry inside me wasn't fading away.
days later...
"How was your trip?" I asked him, as he hugged me tightly before planting a soft kiss on my lips.
"Pretty boring without you, just work really." He sighed, smiling wider as he picked me up, my legs wrapping around his torso, before setting me down on the couch beside him.
"Mm." I hummed nodding to his words while my heart rate picked up. The last couple days, all that i'd endured was Vic and Court's attempts to calm me down, coax me into telling D, and convince me that it wasn't too early, that everything was going to be fine. And it had helped a lot, but that it hadn't stopped the sudden panic i was feeling.
"How was your time with the girls?" I bit my lip anxiously as he asked that. Which part? The part with me throwing up, or the part with me finding out I'm pregnant?
"It was...eventful." I smiled, while he tilted his head in confusion.
"I see...Baby i'm so jet-lagged can we like lie in bed and watch movies or something?" He laughed and I chuckled back.
"Yeah sure."
As we walked quietly upstairs and into the bedroom, Dalton collapsed on the bed making me laugh, before pulling out a box that he'd accidentally lied back on.
"What's this?"
dalton's pov
"What's this?" I asked, holding a small gift box in my hand, a wide ribbon tied neatly around it. I looked up at my girlfriend to see her nervously smiling.
"Open it." She smiled, sitting down on the bed beside me. I nodded, tilting my head in confusion to look at her before looking back at the box in my hands, pulling the ribbon gently off it.
"Isn't the deal when I go away is that I bring you presents not the other way aro..." As I lifted the top off the box, my mouth fell open at a-loss for words.
"Baby what..." I questioned as I pulled out a positive pregnancy test from inside, tied with a box one again. I felt my eyes water as I looked to her to meet her eyes, seeing her anxious expression turn into a tearful smile.
"You're pregnant?" I choked out, to see her nod.
"We're having a baby?" She nodded once again, and quickly I dropped the test on the bed, collapsing over her in embrace as I brought her close to my arms. My heart was pounding, I'd never been so excited in my life, I was starting a family with the women i loved.
"I'm gonna be a dad." I smiled from ear to ear as I pulled her back to sit up, still holding her tightly. She laughed, wiping her own tears as she nodded.
"Best surprise ever."
