The bus jolted to a stop. The large school now in full view, people walking and chatting at the entrance. The sun hung high in the sky , beaming down onto the students. She stood up , grabbed her bag which held her skateboard and then picked up her guitar. The tall boys from the back also stood up, shoving her out of the way and causing her back to be pushed onto the cold window. She just brushed it off, it was by far the least worse thing she could manage.

She stepped out of the bus, her shoes made contact with the paved road , which led into a small path connecting to the school entrance. She turned her head to look to the left, a bunch of people playing football on the grass patch either side of the gravel. And to her right was a bunch of students with books and skateboards chatting and laughing.

A loud , shrill bell rang from the top of the school , signalling the start of the day. She awkwardly moved with the large group of people slowly drifting into the big doors. She held her head low, as not to draw any unnecessary attention to herself. She parted with the group of strangers and roamed the school, she explored the halls, noticing how lockers had a distinct shine, and the corners of the roof were coated with a thin layer of dust .

[time skip to the end of the day]

The music room. It was the one place she wanted to go the most , some students had clubs of some sort or just liked to stay in the library , so the school was open after lesson time for whatever reason. It was on the top floor of a small block off to the right of campus, so it wasn't far to walk from the main block where most lessons were situated . She walked up three flights of stairs before reaching the top floor.

She took hold of the door handle, pushing it down and entering the room.

A girl with a bandanna which sat on top of her messy dirty-blonde hair sat at a drum kit, her shirt sleeves had been rolled up.

A tall slightly-muscular looking boy with jet black hair and a yellow beanie sat on a stool, a bass in between his legs. Another boy was stood up behind a keyboard , he was shorter than the previous boy and had dark brown hair .

She stood embarrassed in the middle of the doorway , her hand still firmly gripping the door handle.

"Oh sorry I didn't realise there were people here-" and she turned to reach for the door handle again

"Oh nah it's good" the tall man said before the girl cut in

"OHHH SHES GOT A GUITAR JAY" She yelled at the ravenette

"Sorry about her" the boy chuckled

"Shut up dick" she pointed her drumstick at the taller boy, supposedly named Jay. He just rolled his eyes

"But she's right ,you do have a guitar, do you play?" He asked , eyeing her guitar

The brunette spoke from behind the keyboard, "Yeah, we definitely need a new guitarist"

"New?" She asked, clearly intrigued by his choice of words

The girl, who still sat, sprawled across the dum seat stool

"I don't give a fuck if you can't even play guitar, anyone would be better than that numbskull" Jay started talking in a quieter tone, so the girl couldn't hear

"She's only annoyed because he was my best freind, and left without even saying goodbye" he chuckled again, glancing over at the drummer who was still grumbling about how the ex-guitarist was a dick.

She looked at the raven haired  boy in front of her then sighed

"Yeah, i guess I could try out, I need to make new friends after all" she half-smiled
